Pet care experience
**After a hiatus brought about by a cross-country move, I’m excited to be able to accept new bookings again!** Every family has at least one creature-lover, which often becomes apparent at an early age. This is the child who wandered into the house every other day with a new furry/feathered/scaly friend sourced from who-knows-where. I was certainly that kiddo, and my lifelong love for pets led to extensive experience walking and sitting for pets of family and friends throughout adolescence. I was a 5-star Rover walker throughout college, and now that I have taken my time (~1 year) easing into the “real world” post-graduation, I’m now comfortably able to accept bookings again. I look forward to getting to know you and your pet(s)! I will follow your care instructions to the letter, ask questions when needed, and provide detailed reports of all walks/visits (with plenty of pictures, of course!). I am able to perform basic medication administration when needed, and have worked with dogs of many sizes and temperaments (see profile images for examples).

Anna is absolutely wonderful! She is very detailed oriented and thorough in making sure that she takes excellent care of my 11 week old puppy when taking him out for his walks. She came extra early to make sure she would be on time for his walk and deal with the hassle of getting a key for my apartment complex from the leasing office. I appreciate her detailed reports and can tell she pays close attention to who he is and adjusts to his personality. Even when it was pouring outside, she made sure he still got his walk by walking him around the inside of the apartment complex hallways. I highly recommend Anna and appreciate her sacrificing her ankles (puppy nipping)!

My first walk with a new dog involves an assessment of the dog’s personality, temperament, and comfort. I make a point to learn what the dog may like or dislike, his/her learning style and attentiveness, and how I can best make the walk enjoyable and comfortable for everyone. For kitties, the process is similar. I have cats of my own, including one tortie who is chock-full of attitude, so I make sure to learn each cat’s “language” to maximize comfort and minimize anything that they dislike.

I would like to know the pup's breed/weight and a little bit about their temperament beforehand so I know what to expect, if possible. Any and all information you can provide helps me make your pup as comfortable as possible during our time together.
A typical day
When doing overnight stays, the activities are largely determined by the individual dog. Some pups prefer to snooze next to me on the couch, while others prefer to play fetch in the yard or go on long walks. I will accommodate for any and all activity levels! For dogs, I have noticed that each pup will often have a favorite place to go on our walks, and I enjoy spending extra time in that place when possible to make the walk even more enjoyable for the dog.

Availability
Given that I work full time standard hours, my availability is mostly relegated to the weekend and after ~5pm on weekdays. I am your ideal sitter for a much-needed weekend away, or for those who work non-standard hours. Many of my past clients worked late or overnight shifts in healthcare, and having a sitter around to check in on their pup or kitty was a big help for them!
