I have raised litters of rescue pups, fostered rescue dogs, owned dogs my whole life, worked for a pet nanny business during college, love dogs, and have a degree in animal science. I watched a dog in my home for several years until his owner began work-from-home with the pandemic. My dog passed during my 2020 pregnancy and a toddler and full-time dog are too challenging for our life right now. Both dogs are sorely missed in our life! If your dog gets along with kids, they could receive even more affection in my home. If not, I’m kidless and available to walk a dog or visit a cat in their own home before 11:30am M-F.

Anna is great and caring dog owner and caregiver. I have seen her with her dogs and with others' dogs and she takes excellent care of them and genuinely likes being around the dogs. I do not have my own dog, but if I did I would not hesitate to leave my dog in her care.
Anna is the perfect dog sitter! She has lived with dogs all her life and truly loves them. We have been lucky enough to have had Anna take care of our dog, Hamlet, and past dogs (Beankie and Singto) numerous times and we never ever have a worry. She is our own, local version of Cesar M, the dog whisperer. Anna is responsible, reliable and truly professional. Anna is always our first choice when we go out of town and are unable to bring Hmalet with us.

I have a fenced in yard for a dog to safely run around. We have a safe, walkable, sidewalk-lined neighborhood, and I have a toddler who has grown up with family members’ dogs staying with us and who loves to help take care of them and walk them (I hold one leash and they hold a second). If preferred, we can keep pets off furniture, but historically that has been allowed in our home. We have a dividing door to the bedrooms and bathroom and several baby gates if we need to cordon off any areas to keep your pet safe from their own destructive behaviors.

I would need to know temperament around people of all ages and other dogs. I do not want to place my child or myself in harm's way if a dog were to stay with me. I would need the collar to have County ID and Rabies vaccination information (legally required in MI). I would like to meet the animal and be sure I am not frightened of the behavior of the dog.
A typical day
Our fenced-in backyard is a perfect place to run around and expend some energy. Daily walks in the neighborhood (weather permitting) will provide enriching sights and smells as we have many other walkers on the sidewalk.

Availability
My child is in preschool in the morning so M-F I am available to walk a fog without my child in tow. If your pet is good around kids, I could be available later in the day or even in my own home where they would get SO MUCH LOVE and snuggles.
