A Dog Has Been My Best Friend
Pet care experience
Hello! I absolutely adore dogs and love spending time with them! I’ve had dogs all my life, including a princess of a Greyhound and the silliest of Labradors. I have extensive dog care experience from taking care of my family’s dogs since I was small. I also have years of experience as a professional dog-walker and sitter. My clients have included a precious Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a gigantic Bernese Mountain Dog. I have cared for puppies and frost-faced senior dogs. I have wrangled with well-behaved dogs and dogs who find the leash challenging. I am not afraid to lie on the floor and roll up my sleeves for some serious puppy playtime. I also love cats! I grew up with cats (twin Maine Coon rescues) and helped in their care, as well. I have looked after the cats of traveling friends and family. Smelly litterboxes don't scare me and I respect that cats have their own boundaries and unique ways of being affectionate. Above all else, I have a deep appreciation for the bond between pet and owner. I promise to give my absolute best to your furry friend the way I have always expected others to care for my dogs and cats.
Reviews
Anna did an amazing job watching our dog Willa and cat Lou for the second time this month! We were away for a week and Anna was again very response and kept us updated on them the entire time we were gone. We definitely recommend her!
Anna was an amazing sitter for my dog. It was my first time leaving him for so long and Anna provided daily updates and photos showing that he was doing great! I am especially impressed with Anna because my dog can be incredibly energetic and some people might see him as being “a bit much”. Anna immediately took control once she met him, established that she was in charge and I didn’t look back. I will absolutely be hiring her in the future and I can’t recommend her enough!
Anna is the best! She gives daily updates that keep me at ease when I have to leave my pup. Stevie is always taken care of when we leave her with Anna!
Anna did an amazing job watching our dog Willa and cat Lou! We felt like our pets were in great hands. Anna was very response and kept us updated on them the entire time we were gone. We looked forward to her updates and she always included a cute picture. Willa takes a few different pills but Anna was able to handle it all. I can tell they both had a great time with her! We definitely recommend her and are looking forward to having her sit Willa and Lou again in a few weeks.

Information Anna G. would like to know about your pet
Of course, I need to know feeding and walk times and obviously any special needs. However, I'd also love to know about your pet's personality. What games do they like to play? What's their favorite toy? How can I make your pet as happy and comfortable as possible while you're away?
A typical day
I tailor each experience to the pet and their area. But in general, it's guaranteed that every pet I sit will get an abundance of love, snuggles, and belly rubs. We'll definitely start the day with an invigorating morning walk and breakfast (the most important meal of the day, whether you're four-legged or not). When walking dogs, I go by the guidelines set by the owner (how long to go, what triggers to avoid), but practice it in a "Choose Your Own Adventure" style. I'll follow the pup's lead where the wind will take them, but try to stick to as much green area as possible. The same goes for midday and evening walks. I'll vary the route over the course of my stay to keep things fresh and enriching. I like to spend as much time in the house with the pet as possible. Not only am I able to keep an eye on things, but I can also be a calming presence for pets missing their owners. I'm happy sitting on the floor doling out head scritches with one hand and working on my laptop with the other. I like to break up downtime with bouts of playtime and a midday walk. The evening usually finds us out for a stroll then dinner. We finish out the day on the couch watching TV or reading a good book. If it's Saturday night, your pet gets to join me as I adventure in my remote Dungeons and Dragons game. After a quick out before bedtime, we go to sleep and get ready to start all over the next morning.
