Pet care experience
Although we do not have a professional background in caring for animals, Evan and I have always grown up with pets of our own and around other pet-owners whom we have provided caretaking services for since childhood and beyond. We have ample experience with boarding (usually in our home) and with that, comes all the walks, feedings, baths, medication administration (if necessary), ball-throwing, tug-of-warring, laser pointing (cats), and most importantly, CUDDLES. We possess the nurturing qualities required to look after your beloved animals. Evan and I absolutely love animals and if we could afford to do so, would have a house-full. But, given that's not our reality, we thought Rover would be the next best thing where we could get the opportunity to relieve the animal itch that we have, while doing something helpful and important for both pets and their owners.
Reviews
Anna is so good with our Trot even though he is only occasionally a Very Important Pup. Thanks Anna.
Anna is amazing!! I have a high energy dog that needs lots of love and attention. She comes home from daycare tired and happy :) Anna takes such good care of her and my dog is thrilled every time we pull up to the door. Anna is great at communicating and her and her partner are SO sweet and welcoming. Whether it’s a walk or house sitting-these two are the best and I highly recommend!!!
Anna was amazing! She was prompt with communication and you could just tell that she loves hanging out with animals of all shapes and sizes. She was very thoughtful and my 2 Labradors immediately loved her. Her house was super dog friendly and her yard delighted them with room to fetch and sniff. The photos and captions of their antics together were cute and I definitely will be a repeat client!
Evan and Anna are HANDS DOWN the most reliable, trustworthy, SOLID pet lovers I have ever had care for my two hooligan hounds. They immediately took initiative to make a record of all the information I was sharing with them about my dogs, my house, my neighborhood, everything! They communicate super clearly in preparing to stay at my home (or my dogs at theirs), and are really responsive when I have a question for them. While I'm away, they offer multiple daily updates and pictures (because I love this), and when I return, they leave a list of all the things they have done to "get the house and dogs ready" for my return. I seriously cannot say enough good things about them. I've referred them to all my neighbors. My only worry is - I say all these great things about them and then they will be so busy I won't be able to book them! My advice - BOOK THEM EARLY! :) THEY ROCK.

Safety, trust & environment
We try to do our best to ensure comfortability amongst all parties, so when caretaking for a specific family, we try to adhere to the schedules/routines our clients and their animals have in place. Meaning, adhering to feeding schedules, walk schedules, potty breaks, or simply, staying in a client's home, versus my our own. However, our home is well-equipped to house small-large dogs and cats, as we do not live with any animals currently, have a fenced-in backyard, and live close to many parks. Plus, we consider ourselves highly active individuals, so if an animal enjoys being outdoors and can handle long walks or even runs, we can also be trusted to tucker them out!

Information Anna D. would like to know about your pet
1. If they have special needs and require specific cares. 2. If they take any medications--if so, what are the associated side effects/symptoms? Best way to administer medication? Along with tips & tricks for doing so. 3. General day-to-day schedule, including: wake up time/bedtime, feedings, medications (if applicable), walks, and bathroom breaks. 4. If the dog can be trusted to free-roam a home when nobody is around, or if I need to tuck away certain items/close doors. 5. How long can the animal be left alone? 6. Temperament of the dog/walking behaviors. Do they get along with other dogs? Are they easily distractable on walks? Do we need to cross to the other side of the street if passing by other dogs/people? 7. Along with temperament, is the dog a flight risk? Meaning, will the dog try to bolt out the door the second it's opened/do they have the tendency to "escape"? 8. Dietary restrictions: are they allowed any "human" food or are they on a strict dog-food diet? 9. Special activities they enjoy? Swimming? Fetch? Frisbee? Running? 10. If energetic/playful, what is their playing behavior like?
A typical day
Evan and I live in an area with parks all around and a short drive to a couple different dog parks. If the dogs we watch are licensed to go to Minneapolis dog parks and get along well with other animals, we are always up for bringing them there. In addition, we have an enclosed backyard to play around in and plenty of friends/neighbors close by that have dogs that are always looking for playmates! After all the fun and games, we enjoy couch or bed snuggles with whichever dog we are looking after (that is, if they appreciate that kind of affection).

Availability
I am (newly) working remotely and have flexibility to provide care during the day for doggy daycare, overnight stays, and/or dog walking services. Typically, my partner and I reserve overnight stays for the weekends, but we are willing to consider longer stays (including weekday nights), so feel free to reach out regarding our availability, despite what the calendar displays on our profile!
