*I’m back from my hiatus and ready to love and care for your furry family!* Dogs are truly wonderful beings. Working at the SPCA of Texas taught me how forgiving and kind they can be. No matter what situation they come from, they only want to be loved. Their unconditional love astounds me--and the moment of coming home to an excited, adoring dog is unforgettable. They also sense how the people around them are feeling and can adjust their mood accordingly to provide support. There are countless reasons that I love working with dogs, and making them feel just as loved as they would with their own family. Because of my deep compassion and love for dogs, I’ve spent much of my life working to understand them better and provide care and support for animals in need. When I was a child, my family always had at least two dogs at home--including breeds such as Pitbulls, Huskies, and Chihuahuas--so dogs have always been a part of my life. In addition to being an owner myself, I have 13 years of professional experience working with dogs and other animals. I worked at the SPCA of Texas and loved every minute of it, especially because I was able to gain experience in both the medical and behavioral aspects of caring for dogs. I’ve had classes in dog behavior, and know exactly what to do in extreme circumstances, so your dog couldn’t be in better hands. I’ve also fostered before--including two-week-old kittens that I fed from a bottle. Any animal in need of a safe and loving environment will find one with me. Providing excellent customer service starts with excellent communication, not just with you but with your dog as well. I’ll pay close attention to your dog’s needs and wants, making sure that she’s comfortable and sticking to her normal routine so that she doesn’t feel as if everything has changed. Sending photos, videos, and other updates will give you peace of mind while you’re away--and you’ll enjoy getting a glimpse into our outdoor adventures, playtime, and new four-legged friends we might meet along the way. Prior to our first sit, we’ll arrange a meet-and-greet to go over my usual questions and make sure that the pup is comfortable with me. Some dogs take longer than others to warm up to new people, so if the first meeting doesn’t go as well as we hope, I’m happy to come back the next day. The most important thing is to ensure that your dog is comfortable and happy!
