Pet care experience
Welcome to my page! I have been pet sitting for over 18 years and I have a passion for animals. I volunteered with the Paws4People Foundation while I was completing my Bachelor’s degree at UNC Wilmington, where I trained service dogs for those with physical and mental disabilities; I am a Certified Public Access Dog Trainer. I have worked at a few animal hospitals in the Lake Norman area (Brawley Animal Hospital, North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital & Whole Pet Veterinary Hospital in Davidson) in which I gained experience as a kennel attendant as well as a receptionist. I have also worked at a doggy daycare facility (Lucky Dog Bark & Brew LKN) and have years of experience that include boarding, feeding, administering medication, and much more. I would love to spend my free time helping those who need a little extra assistance with their dogs! I currently work remote. When I’m not on my computer, I absolutely love helping people with their pets. :)

I currently live in a spacious apartment in Birkdale Village. I frequent local parks and my dog Aela loves to make new friends if your pup needs some socialization! I keep extra dog food (Purina Pro Plan for Sensitive Stomachs, wet and dry) on hand, as well as treats, pill pockets, doggy bags, extra dog beds, toys, bones, pee pads, you name it! My home is kept tidy and quiet for dogs that need a relaxing environment. If your dog will be staying overnight at my house or coming to my house for doggy daycare, I do require a meet and greet with my dog prior to accepting requests to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable.

I would prefer to know the dog's age, breed, and any existing medical or behavioral conditions. I have no breed preferences! If the dog will be staying with me at my home for the day, they need to be small dog-friendly since I have a pup of my own. **For house sitting - I am more than happy to stay in your home to take care of your pet. That being said, I would need your approval to bring my small dog with me overnight as well since I do have to make sure she is taken care of. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have!
A typical day
I enjoy taking walks outside on pretty days as well as exploring local parks/dog parks! For days spent inside, I have a huge basket of toys for your dog to enjoy.

Availability
Since I work remotely, I am available 7 days a week for pet care! That being said, I am happy to help with your pet as long as I am given roughly a week's notice. I do have a small dog (a maltipoo) that is both dog and cat friendly.
