I have been house and pet sitting since I was in elementary school. I have a "pets first, me second" mentality, which developed when working with the dogs, cats, and horses with whom I grew up - until college, I never lived in a household that didn't have all three. I am not easily intimidated by large animals. I have experience with animal training from being in different animal projects in 4-H - including the dog project - as well as experience as an adult. I am happy to maintain any commands to which your pets are accustomed. I have also spent time as an adult volunteering as Dog Project leader in a local 4-H club, teaching children and teenagers in the program basic information about dog care and training. CARE FOR OTHER ANIMALS I am also cat friendly, if there are both cat(s) and dog(s) in the household; I would be happy to spoil them every bit as much as I would a pooch. I also have my life's worth in years of experience with horses, from foals to seniors, and have several years' worth of experience with caring for freshwater fishes such as goldfish, bettas, and tetras. While I won't claim expertise with them, I do also have some experience with bearded dragons and have even sat for sheep, chickens, and turkeys. I don't have much experience with other sorts of household pets, but you'll find that I'm a quick and willing learner. AVAILABILITY I believe in full communication--so much that I got a degree in the field! If I do not think a booking will work, or if I think that my schedule will negatively impact my ability to care for your dog, I will let you know so that you may find someone who fits better with you.
