I have a warm heart for cold noses!
Pet care experience
I have been around dogs and cats since I was 5 years old, specifically smaller dog breeds when I was younger (Bichon, a Coton De Tulear, and their baby!) but now have a five year old chocolate lab, one year old lab mix, one year old bluetick coonhound, and four cats of varying ages! Due to this, I have had plenty of experience taking care of animals throughout the years, of all ages! Of course my childhood dogs now live with my parents, but I love them and my current foirllur pets more than anything- and I can assure you my love will extend to your furbabies as well! I have some experience with special needs animals- two of my current pets do suffer from anxiety, one of which being Sarah who takes nightly Prozac. I am always nervous when I leave on trips because of this, but I know how to take care of them and show them love when they do become nervous. Due to Sarah’s special needs, I am comfortable administering oral medication.

I always know my babies are in good hands with Ann! She sends tons of pictures and gives a lot of information about the visit!

Ann really understands my cats and is so patient even if they’re not big fans of strangers! It’s nice to know we have a trusted sitter for our babies when we need one.

Animals are, and always have been, my life and I hope that I can help you make your time away from your furbabies a little bit easier! I understand many animals are apprehensive when family leaves and a stranger comes in, so I would definitely love to meet with you all beforehand to make sure it’s the right fit! I look forward to working with you and your pets!
Information Ann W. would like to know about your pet
Definitely let me know if you have any concerns regarding the pet- for me personally I have a cat, Sarah, that licks her back open whenever she is nervous. I always let our sitters know this so that they are prepared and know what to look for in case I need to come home from a trip early. Information like this would help me know signs to look for in your animal to make sure they are comfortable whilst you and your family are gone!
A typical day
I absolutely LOVE taking my dog Elsa for walks, and it’s taken a lot of work getting her to feel comfortable going on them! We’ve worked hard and now try to go on 1-2 walks a day as long as it is not too hot or cold out. She is a pretty laid back dog and but absolutely loves her “babies” (toys). Now that we have three big dogs, though, the walking (and running) is left mainly to my husband while I am the one who feeds them, cleans any accidents, and is their nap time buddy in between sittings! When my parents’ three dogs were younger we always loved to play tug of war! I definitely follow the dog’s lead on whatever he/she wants to do, as I am up for anything, whether it be a walk, play time, or chill time! My cats are not the most energetic, they mostly love cuddles and following me around the house. On previous pet sits, I have had cats that absolutely adore playing. I make sure to keep them active when they want to by using any of their favorite toys, while also providing a safe space if they would like alone time or to sit with me!
