I am a work from home dog lover! Because I can make my own hours, I've got great flexibility most days. I’ve owned multiple dogs (everything from spaniels and Labradors to German Shepherds and some amazing mutts). I've got about thirty years of dog-owning experience! I have competed in obedience and agility with my dogs, and I’ve also been a member of our local dog training club. I have taken pet first aid and CPR courses in the past. I've also been a volunteer dog walker at a local animal shelter. I’ve owned dogs (as well as other animals such as horses and chickens) for most of my life, and am experienced taking care of lots of different species- everything from little ones like parakeets and hamsters, to barnyard animals like chickens and horses. I enjoy getting to know each individual dog I take care of, and making each one feel like a member of my family! I’m home full time and we have a privacy-fenced yard. I live in a great area for hiking and walking and am lucky to have nearby parks with hiking paths. I love walking and jogging and especially love taking dogs along with me. One of my favorite things is enjoying the great outdoors with dogs! There's nothing nicer than hanging outside with dogs. Watching them sniff all the interesting scents and enjoy themselves is the best! I homeschool my kids, and that gives me great flexibility. For dogs that love to play fetch, I have a 13 year old son who will throw a tennis ball all day! My children love dogs and know how to be respectful around them, so dogs that love a family enviromnent will feel right at home with us. It makes me feel great to offer dogs a safe, comfortable environment to stay in. I think when pets can stay in a comfortable, safe home environment, it lowers their stress level, and they are able to stay healthier and happier. I think everyone benefits when pets feel safe and secure!
