Professional Pet Care You Can Trust

Pet care experience

⬇️ Keep scrolling for descriptions of services and important information for prospective clients to review ⬇️ I’M ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS FOR: - dog walks and potty breaks - drop-in visits (all pets) - hourly care (in your home) - outdoor adventures and hiking - chaperoning for events - pet photography sessions - pet taxi and transport I’M *NOT* ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS FOR OVERNIGHT HOUSE SITTING SERVICES AT THIS TIME. I WILL CONSIDER DISCOUNTS FOR: - clients living close by (5 mins or less) - walks or visits less than 30 mins - lower maintenance/energy pets - multiple pets (other than dogs or cats) - previous clients (first booking before 2021) ◈ ABOUT ME & WHY I PETSIT ◈ Hello! My name is Ann, and animals of all kinds have been part of my family since I came into this world. I’ve been a sitter on Rover since 2017 and looking after pets (my own and others') for over 15 years. Please message me to inquire about care for any creature(s), big or small. It never hurts to ask me, even if you're simply curious about availability, custom rates, or my different services! If you're searching for dog care, rest assured I have experience with a wide range of breeds, temperaments, and sizes. I have owned and cared for four dogs (+ a plethora of other pets) at once while growing up. I have spent countless hours volunteering at local animal shelters walking dogs, cleaning cages/kennels, and monitoring/providing socialization. I’ve trained and raised rambunctious puppies and tended to the needs of elderly dogs with compassion. I'm not just a dog person, though - I love ALL pets! I have the interest and know-how to pet sit for almost any animal you can imagine. Many of my repeat clients are cat owners. I also have plenty of personal experience and prior knowledge in caring for various species of reptiles and amphibians, birds, small mammals, and freshwater fish. Exotic pets? Livestock? Let's talk! When I'm not caring for pets, you can expect to find me spending quality time with nature. I live for road trips and camping adventures with my current dogpanion, Luna, a tripawd rescue dog from Puerto Rico's Save-a-Sato program. We moved to Oregon from Upstate New York in 2017 and can't imagine calling anyplace else home!

Ann is a great walker and she is great with my large golden retriever puppy. Always great with communication. Gus loves her walks. Highly recommend!

◈ WHAT TO EXPECT ◈ Most of the services I offer will be in and around your home. With that in mind, rest assured you can trust me to be responsible, careful, and respectful of what's yours. I always try to leave your house better than I found it and keep a very low profile. Clear communication is essential to me, and you can count on me to promptly address any questions or issues that may arise before, during, and after my stay. I am privately insured through PCI (Pet Care Insurance), so booking with me ensures an additional layer of assurance and protection for myself, you, and your pets. I accept boarding requests on a case-by-case basis for repeat clients only. Daycare requests are typically handled the same way, but I am always open to a meet and greet to see if your pet(s) might be a good fit. I can provide outdoor adventures or in-your-home care as an alternative to daycare at my place. When your pet is in my home, they will be treated with the same love and care as my own. I have a small fenced-in backyard and a rarely-occupied dog park near my apartment. My patient, polite pooch, Luna, is a great companion for shy and low-energy dogs. She adores romping around with tiny, small, and medium-sized breeds once she gets to know them; otherwise, her main game is playing chase with dogs of any size. I also own two very affectionate adult male cats. One is indifferent about any other pet’s presence, and the other takes a little while to warm up to higher-energy pets.

Information Ann P. would like to know about your pet

When sending me a booking request, please respond to what applies to you and your pet in the list below if the answers aren’t already included in your pet’s profile on Rover. FOR ALL PETS: - Health conditions (any allergies? current medications?) - Can I give them treats? Do they have favorites or restrictions? - Typical activity level and feeding schedule - Nervous habits, triggers, or weird quirks to be aware of? - How long can they be left alone/unsupervised? - Have they had a sitter before? Was it someone they knew? - Do they enjoy attention from humans? Where are their favorite spots to get pets? DOGS ONLY: - Level of training (housebroken? known commands, leash manners, etc.) - Are they dog-friendly? * Please inform me of any history of reactive behaviors. Disclosure of reactivity or aggression will NEVER write off any dog with me; I just need to be aware ahead of time. I request that first-time housesitting clients send me an up-to-date write-up of their pet's daily routine before the first stay. Thank you in advance!

A typical day

You can expect your pet to be loved (and spoiled) to the max. Unlimited pets, plenty of attention, and passion for pet care will always be included with your booking free of charge. I like to try and keep your pet’s routine as similar as possible to what they are used to. DOG WALKS ➠ Walking services start off at 30 minutes in length and typically take place in your neighborhood. I have transportation in the form of a converted van, so once I've established a solid relationship with your dog, I'd happily bring them along for a hike in the forest or a swim at the beach with your permission. Please Note: When extreme weather is present (high heat, freezing temps, etc.), we may return home early to substitute with activity indoors. VISITS ➠ Each drop-in visit within your home includes at least 30 minutes spent with your pet. I will serve fresh food and fresh water, administer oral/topical medications, and take care of any potty breaks/litter scooping needed. Any time outside of essential tasks will be filled with playtime, chatting, and hanging out. Walks in your neighborhood can be added on at an additional charge. HOUSE SITTING ➠ At my base rate per night, house-sitting stays will include me spending the night inside your home, serving breakfast and dinner to your pet(s), and (at minimum) a 1-hour midday check-in/walk. Essentially, you'll be getting the equivalent of 3x 60-minute drop-in visits along with a human presence for your pet(s) at your house overnight every 24 hrs of the booking. Please Note: Any pets unable to be left unsupervised for more than 4-5 hours at a time are subject to a higher rate per night.

After many years of providing pet care services as a hobby and side gig, I now work full-time as a pet sitter and dog walker. My other work consists of freelance projects (marketing, photography, and writing), which still allows me plenty of time to love on both my pets and yours. I make my own schedule, and the pets in my care always take precedence.
