Pet care experience
I am a long time dog owner and dog trainer. I started working in a boarding kennel back in 1997, and after that experience, I decided in-home pet sitting was the way to go (my home or yours!). I used to train dogs professionally, but currently it is for fun and for competition. I've done "board and train" training, as well as private lessons and small group instruction. Additionally, I groom dogs on the side - typically during the spring or around holidays. I believe keeping your pet safe is my #1 priority.

I can care for pets at your home or at my home. My home is on 2+ acres of land, fully fenced in with a 5' high fence. We have wading pools in the summer and plenty of outdoor toys. Your dog can go out separately, or with my dogs if play time is desired and safe. Dogs are not left outside unattended. Your dog will have the option to stay in a crate (with or without bed), an x-pen, or a dog-proofed room. For small animals, they will have their own room away from other pets.

I need to know if your dog is a bite risk. A dog who may use its teeth is not an automatic no - I just need to be prepared and on my guard. Please be honest with your dog's temperament and quirks so we can all be safe. <3
A typical day
A typical day depends on the individual dogs. Couch potatoes can hang out and watch Netflix; adrenaline junkies can play fetch in the yard or go for a hike; busy dogs can have a treat puzzle to stay occupied. When I walk a dog, I use 2 collars - your dog's regular collar and a limited slip collar on a back up leash. If your dog's collar breaks or malfunctions, I want a backup to insure your dog's safety. Leashes are attached to a dog-walk belt so there are no mishaps.

Availability
I'm home 24/7 unless I'm out training dogs! I can do home visits or have your pet come hang out here. I can give pills, eye drops, ear drops, and medicated baths. I can do injections on a case-by-case basis.
