I love dogs an have had dogs most of my life. As an adult, I've had 2 dogs. My oldest, was a Manchester terrier/cattle dog mix, about 35 lbs, who passed in August 2015 at 13 1/2 yrs old. She was special needs and I had to be very careful about what she ate due to being susceptible to pancreatitis. My other dog was a German Shepherd mix, about 60 lbs, who was full of energy and loved to play fetch. She passed at 6 1/2 years old in September 2014. I am also a holistic energy worker, so both of my dogs benefited from daily energy work and my using essential oils for relaxation and other ailments as natural alternatives. While living in Las Vegas, I volunteered at a local animal shelter as a dog walker and also lived with 2 French bulldogs that I cared for when my roommates were traveling.
