Hi, I’m Anjanine and I can’t wait to meet you! I’m a Bay area native who recently moved back from New Haven, Connecticut, where I had been working as a pet-sitter, house sitter (including extended stays up to three weeks at a time) and dog walker for over seven years. I’ve cared for more than just dogs, including cats, chickens, and much more! I’ll admit I started this venture as a way to earn extra money, but I quickly became very close to my clients, both human and canine, and my business has grown exponentially because of the focused attention I bring to every client relationship I have. I have over 14 years of experience in customer service, including teaching the violin, being a studio musician, tutoring, food service, coffee shops and, of course, pet sitting. One of the most valuable lessons I have learned over the years is how important it is to listen to your clients, rather than assuming their needs, and make them feel heard. And this applies to my canine clients as well. With dogs, listening is perhaps best described as paying attention, but it’s really the same thing! I’m a loving, kind and when necessary, firm pet sitter, and my clients tend to book with me repeatedly because they pick up on the fact that when I’m with their pet, I am 100 percent focused on their needs. I stay calm and collected in even the most stressful situations and treat my clients’ pets as if they were my own—with love, respect and all the attention they deserve! While I’m not currently in the position to have pets of my own at this time, this allows me to fully focus on my clients’ animals, and I’ve found that to be useful, as I can be as hands-on and available for your needs as you want.
