Since I was a kid I remember that my family had a couple of big dogs, Jack and Priscila. At that time my parents didn't know the importance of neutering dogs, so from time to time, I remember being surrounded by 8 to 13 puppies in black and caramel. I had a great time in my childhood. All this time I was only a dog person. Then someday my aunt's asked me to pet sitter her cat for 2 days, and we had a special time together. Besides having pet sitter for some family's dogs I've lived with a friend that has a dog, Tera, that is aggressive to strange people and everybody is afraid of her. However, I could give her trust and we played a lot in the garden. Finally, when I've lived in a little village in France 2 years ago I took care of three cats from different neighbors. There we usually can see cats on the street, and sometimes they enter the houses. First Teresa's appeared, but after a time I discovered that she was pregnant, and then it came Bentinho (black) and Clarinha (light version tabby). Soon Clarinha was adopted, and then Teresa and Bentinho spent many days at my home. They adopted me. One day, my neighbor moved and they got them back. It was a sad day, but we had excellent moments. I can say that they've preferred to stay at my home than at theirs. My last experience was also with a cat, Belinha (also a tabby), that was left by her owner in front of her house when she was not there. She was new to the neighborhood. I could not see Belinha there alone on the raining or cold days, and do nothing. So I brought her to my house. I said to my neighbor that Belinha could stay at my home at any time. Then we were in shared custody until I moved to another city. Another sad day in my life. Now I'm in Oxford and I miss the moments I had in France, that I could see a lovely cat or dog more often on the street. So I decided to come here and give my love and services for animals to one that might is in need.
