Pet care experience
Hi, my name's Anika! I'm an avid dog lover with a passion for both animal care and animals themselves! I am currently studying to become a Veterinary Technician at SVC, and I have many years of experience working at animal shelters such as the Seattle Humane Society. I am experienced in handling dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities, and I love spending time with each and every one of them. I have an energetic samoyed puppy at home, so I am ready and prepared to deal with high-energy, middle-to-high-maintenance dogs-and the messes that come with them! My family has also owned multiple rescue dogs that I have taken part in caring for. In addition to this, I have some experience in dog grooming and bathing in case your furry friend needs a bit of a makeover! Others have described me as patient, responsible, and diligent when it comes to caring for animals, and I'd like to say the same about myself! I'm looking forward to meeting you and your pet and to working with you! :-)

As usual, Anika did a wonderful job taking care of our pets while we were away.
Boomer loves Anika- she has a calming manner with her and she played with him a lot. She kept me informed as to what was happening and sent lots of fun photos. Highly recommend!
Anika watched our 2 dogs and a cat for 4 days and she is very attentive and the pets were well loved. I would definitely recommend Anika.
Anika did a great job with my baby. She sent lots of pictures and he looked so happy, which really kept me at ease. She followed all of my instructions, was on time, and left everything as I found it. I'll be booking with her again!

Before sitting your pup, I would appreciate knowing what their overall temperament is like and if they have any special needs, dietary restrictions or medical issues that would require special care or attention. **For clients looking for overnight sitting: I would need to know whether you would like me to stay with your pet all day and overnight, just for the night with drop-in visits throughout the day, or just stay for the day (and return the next morning). I charge different rates depending on the situation.
A typical day
I'm relatively new to Whidbey Island, so I would love to explore some of the many parks and trails around the area with your furry friend! I know of two dog parks that I am able to take your pup to, or, if they prefer a little less action, we can go on a solo trail walk or head to the water for some fun beachside playtime! My 1-year old pup, Luna, would also be a great playmate for almost any dog! She's a big sweetheart and loves meeting new people and pups. I'm always ready and willing to bring her along with me!
