Pet care experience
I grew up in the pet boarding and grooming business--my mother had her business on our property and I always loved to help care for the animals. Aside from that, I was very active in the care of our pets that ranged from parrots to horses to fish. I officially began working at my mother's business when I was eleven and maintained employment until it closed in 2019. I am able to administer medications from pills to simple injections such as insulin. I can do basic grooming such as nails and brushing.

Anika was absolutely amazing! I needed a last minute place for my two 10 year old cats to stay for 3 weeks between moves, and I’m so thankful that she was available! She sent me regular photos and updates on how they were doing. They had their own room and window sills to sit on and look outside (which they love). I would 100% recommend her to anyone that needs pet care! She is very clearly an animal lover, and will treat them with the with care & kindness that you’d hope for in a pet boarder/sitter.
Best person we have ever found to watch an animal ever. She accepted our kitten on the same day we sent the request in, she was our last hope and oh my goodness did she deliver! She's very sweet, kind, attentive and informative! Everyday we got pictures and updates about how our little guy was doing. He even got some cuddles in with her, and her dog! She took the time to make him feel comfortable, give him love, and even play time. She went way beyond what we could have ever asked for. If you're looking for anybody to watch your animal(s) for any reason she should definitely be #1 on the list. Thank you so much for taking care of our little guy, and if we need him to be watched again we will definitely be coming back for your services (:

I live in a house a couple miles west of Detroit Lakes, where there's ample room to run around and let loose (or long-line if that's more your dog's style!). I have three cats and they are friendly toward dogs but I am able to put them in a separate room if needed. I also have a 2 year old standard poodle who adores other animals! Over the weekends and week nights, I'm generally home to love on your pets, and have holes in my daytime weekday schedule to let the pets out every 4-6 hours.

My biggest concern when sitting a dog is if they are good with cats, and if they sleep in a crate. I don't have any breed preferences, but do have a hard requirement of meeting your dog before I will commit to sitting your dog at my house.
A typical day
I live out in the country on 40 acres, so there's plently of room to walk around, and poultry and horses to sniff! Your pet can expect play time with my puppy and my cats, and access to dog-safe toys!

Availability
I go between my college classes during the day and work in the evening, so I have holes in my schedule during the day to spend time with your pet while they're in my care! I can provide a lot of play, exercise, and regular potty breaks.
