Pet care experience
I love ALL animals of ALL shapes and sizes and ALL makes and models. More than I love people most days. I was raised on a farm caring for all kinds of animals before moving to the city and having my own pets. I've trained basic discipline to dogs of all kinds in private and group settings before they advanced to K9 or military training. My family and friends call on me to care for their pets and without hesitation I love to do so. My Great Dane/Pitbull mix, the love of my life, passed at the ripe old age of 16 in April 2022. While I'm not ready to take the full leap again yet, I have so much love to give and it's bursting out in my need to play with and care for your furry babies! I work form home without a set schedule so I'm extremely flexible. However, the hours seem longer and more lonely without a furry companion. Having your addition as my occasional addition would be wonderful! The periodic walk for exercise and spending a little time outdoors and in nature... for myself as well as your dog, is a great way to break up the day and stay active. The bond between pet and owner is unlike any other. I want to respect yours while offering the same amount of love and affection when they miss you and will need it most.

Angyl is the ABSOLUTE best! I could not recommend her enough. I have gone away a few times with her now and I am so unbelievably grateful for how considerate, caring, communicative, and just has such attention to detail that gives such comfort knowing your baby is in the best hands. Even in situations where she may have not been available, she went out of her way to make sure she had someone for me that she trusted so I wouldn’t have to worry. Even situations outside of taking care of my cat, where maybe maintenance has come to the door requesting things or any situations at home she always let me know and took care of it for me immediately. Her updates are truly the best and the pictures and funny messages always make my day and gives me such relief while I am away. My kitty absolutely loves Angyl and so do I- I truly would trust her with my life LOL. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!!

Angyl is fantastic! I really appreciated the daily detailed updates. I normally worry about the cats when I'm gone, but that gave me peace of mind!

I have a fenced yard and great neighborhood for dog walking. I have one older cat that is very calm and used to dogs. He will happily provide snuggles or just keep his distance. We use pet covers on all our furniture to allow them to be on it and clean it easily. If you would prefer I keep them off the furniture to maintain your training at home, I'm happy to do so. I'm also happy to learn and maintain commands for your dog so their training can stay intact and they always feel safe with some familiarity.

I want to know as much as possible about your pet. Special needs, personality traits, likes or dislikes, etc. Do they get along with other dogs? Do they know basic commands? What type of rewards do they prefer? Do they like car rides? Do they have a strict medication and/or supplement schedule? No problem on any of these! I'm highly organized and schedule oriented. Even if you have a unique or "troubled" dog I'm happy to make a new friend and I'm not at all scared or worried about breed or size. I'm also happy to bathe and groom your dog during a visit. A clean dog is a happy dog, and less cleaning at home is a happy owner.
A typical day
First and foremost I'll always make sure we are both in agreement on yours and your dogs needs, preferences and treatments. Part of caring for your pet is keeping a routine they are comfortable with. I have a great neighborhood for walking with a bunch of other dog walkers so there will be plenty of smells and stimulation. I have a fenced yard for safe playtime. And there are several parks within driving distance that are dog friendly. We can curl up and watch movies or shows or I can get work done with your pet lovingly at my side or in my lap. I also have blankets, dog beds and pads for lounging off the furniture if desired. I have a ton of toys and will note which ones are your pets favorites. If we have the pleasure of getting together repeatedly I'll always make sure their favorite toys are included.
