Angus: paws for thought. A friend for your dog.

Pet care experience

I am still available to provide services to your pets. When interacting with you or your four-legged friend, I will wear a facemask and have sanitizer on hand. Hi, I'm Angus. When I was 22, I moved to Vancouver, Canada for two years. My family, unable to manage with the void I left, replaced me with a dog: Kevin. When I came back to the Uk to visit family, Kevin and I met. He gave me a once over sniff, and appeared to recognise me as one of the pack. Since returning indefinitely, I have on numerous occasions taken care of Kevin when the family have gone away somewhere. There is nothing I wouldn't do for that little chap! My other experience of taking care of dogs happened while I was living in Vancouver. For six months, I stayed with friends in a house that had two dogs: Otis, a 13 year old beagle and Finn, a (at the time) 4 month old puppy. Those two provided plenty of challenges. Finn obviously needed to be house trained and Otis needed some encouragement to eat his breakfast. He was grieving for his friend and fellow beagle, Chester. I hope my past experience has earned your trust to care, play, walk, feed or quietly sit with your four-pawed family members. *I have said no to administering oral medication to dogs, however if I am given instruction beforehand I am happy to do so*

First time using Rover, and my dog is very nervous and scared around new people. After letting Angus know, he took his time with my pup and made sure he was comfortable and calm before actually taking him for a walk! Such a nice and patient guy! Highly recommend!!!

Angus is amazing at caring for dogs! I was often busy with work and had to leave early in the morning but while Angus was my roommate he took care of my two dogs without any complains ! I have one 16 year old mixed rescue and a two year old mix and they can be quite handful but he loved and cared for them like they were his own. When my two year old dog was just a new born puppy he helped in training and caring for him and got him completely house trained! Angus is so patient and knows exactly what dogs need and want and I am sure that if he takes care of your dog then he will care for it like it was his own!

Angus is my grandson, and I have been fortunate to have been part of his life since his birth. He was seven and his sister was nine years old, when their mother, our daughter died. In the absence of their estranged father my husband and I were very happy to be their sole carers. Both children have grown up to be responsible young adults of whom we could not be more proud. When my daughter and the children first came to live with us we had a dear little dog, Pippa, a rescue dog from Wood Green Animal Shelters We were all devastated when she died aged 14. She was Angus's first contact with a dog, and he loved her, and she loved him. It did not suit us to have another dog for a long time after Pippa, but when Angus and his sister had left home I was lonely, and I needed another dog. I adopted Kevin, another rescue dog from Wood Green. Angus was in Canada at the time, and I sensed during our Skype sessions that he was keen to meet Kevin. In fact, during his two-year stay in Canada he decided to come home for a holiday. I met him off the airport coach with the dog. Kevin, who is usually wary of strangers at first, immediately took to Angus as though he had always known him and he had just come back from the shops. It was lovely to see how quickly they bonded. It has been like this ever since. If suddenly I could no longer look after Kevin, I can think of no person I would trust more than Angus to take care of my dog.
