About us: As fellow dog owners, Riley and I understand how scary it can be leaving your precious cargo under someone else's care. Above all, we'll provide safety, comfort, and empathy to your dog. If your dog requires a lot of energy, we love taking hikes and long walks outdoors. Is your furry friend more low energy? Cuddles and naps can also be arranged. We're flexible on meeting the unique needs of each dog, and want their stay to be as enjoyable as it possibly can be. We have owned a variety of animals (small and large dogs, cats, horses) so we feel confident handling any potential situations that may arise. Our current dogs: Xena, 7 year old Border Collie / Golden Retriever mix: Xena is very patient, tolerant, and often described as "stoic". She usually will get very excited to meet new dogs, whimper and run around for a few minutes, and then she's content to crawl back up on the couch and mind her own business. She will be playmates with other dogs we've hosted, usually wrestling once or twice a day briefly if they're up for it, but usually not instigating it. Lilah, 7 month old German Shepherd mix: Lilah is our newer addition the the family. We've raised her from 8 weeks old and she's a bundle of love and energy! She is very submissive and can be slightly nervous the first few moments meeting new dogs, but once she figures out they are her friend, the playing never stops. Lilah is also very receptive to older dogs and has very mature boundaries for a puppy. She will tuck her ears back and take wide steps around a dog if they seem uninterested or irritated by her as to not upset or annoy them. Our home: We have a unique half acre plot of land up a private, dead end driveway with convenient access to i5. Our yard is ideal for pups to run around at full speed, hang out under the shady trees, or play fetch with the absurd amount of frisbees and tennis balls we have. The inside of our home has 4 bedrooms with ample space for lounging. All pets are allowed on furniture. Schedule: I (Angie) work from home and will be the primary caregiver during the day. Typically I'll take frequent breaks from work in the morning to let the dogs outside to run around and burn energy. By early afternoon they're usually wiped and ready for 2-3 hours of napping and down time. Around this time is usually when I leave to visit my horse in Redmond, so I will usually leave the dogs alone for 1 - 2 hours until Riley comes home while I'm gone visiting her. Our breed preferences: We love all dogs, but have a special place in our hearts for breeds that tend be in the working class and fit the temperament and training capacity of our other dogs. Breeds that are typically a match tend to be: Border Collie, Australian Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Flat Coat Retriever, German Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, Bernese Mountain Dog, Dalmatian, Great Pyrenees, Cattle Dog, Sheltie, Collie, etc. Requirements: Prior to confirming a booking, please provide up to date proof of vaccinations. All dogs must be potty trained, able to hold it for at least 3 hours without accidents. Dogs must not be destructive if left unattended (unless crating is normal and provided). Dogs must be friendly and not overly dominate. Dogs must be generally attentive and trained to listen to basic commands if needed (come, sit, off, down). Additional fees: We will try to be as accommodating as possible with schedules, but boarding drop off and pick up times are as followed: Drop-Off time: 7 am or later Pick-Up time: 7 pm or earlier Overnight stays consist of a 24 hr period, and each additional hour will be an extra $10 (up to 3 hours). Beyond 3 hours, a full additional overnight stay will be added to the booking.
Reviews
Angie was a terrific choice! Clearly an absolute natural with dogs, it was a perfect match for us as we have a very social dog ... and so does she! Angie was responsive and took really great photos! Angie will definitely be our first choice for a sitter going forward - happy dog, very happy dog-parent : ))
Angie took great care of our furbeast Cooper while we were out on vacation for a week. She was prompt to communicate, scheduling a meeting with her dog Xena to make sure the two got along alright before accepting the stay. She kept Cooper happy, followed our walking/feeding instructions to a tee, and enthusiastically shared updates with us. We'll be booking a stay with Angie again, for sure!
I am so thankful for Angie and the excellent care she took of Brody. She was very accommodating when it came to drop off/pick up times and I loved all the pictures she sent me while I was away!
Angie was just amazing. I was anxious since it would be my puppy’s first boarding experience but she quickly put me at ease. Not only did i get frequent updates and pictures but she took my very active puppy on long walks in beautiful parks. I highly recommend her and will continue to board meili with her. - Niloufer

Information Angie R. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog have separation anxiety? Does your dog tend to chew things? Does your dog get into garbage or other things when left alone? Is your dog crated? Does your dog like to swim? How is your dog in the car? What makes your dog the happiest? What makes your dog upset? Does your dog get along with puppies?
A typical day
Dogs will have supervised access to our 1/2 acre yard the majority of the day. We'll play fetch, tug, soccer, chase, etc, or they can burn some energy chasing Lilah who LOVES to run and be chased! Dogs will never be left outside unattended. Weather permitting, we love to take the dogs to parks like Marymoor where they have access to swim and run around off-leash (please let us know prior to booking if you would prefer your dog not to visit a park). Lilah and Xena are both avid swimmers and we take them as much as we can during the warmer months. On rainy days when we're stuck inside, peanut butter kongs and bully sticks are a favorite around our house.
