Pet care experience

Scroll down past the dog emojis for group and solo walk details 🌙✨ ABOUT ANGIE: • Languages: English (native), Français (native), Español (fluent) • Tips are appreciated as Rover takes 25% 🙏🏼 • Instagram to see your doggies being walked or your kitties being cared for! @angeliqueandanimals I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I can remember. My first dog was cared by me when I was 5 years old. I remember it was the first time I knew what being responsible meant. My mother taught me how to potty train and walk our, at the time 2 month old golden retriever, named Caline. Caline was in my life until I was 19, when she sadly left this earth. I experienced Caline in all of her life stages- as a puppy and teen when I was child, as an adult dog when I was a teen and as a senior dog when I was a late teen. My mother (single mom of two) taught us Caline was our family member. I’ve loved animals ever since. In my spare time I would walk and dogsit my neighbors dogs. I also volunteered on a farm taking care of sheep - they are like little dogs! I have a cat named Mila, who I adopted from a farm one hour outside of Barcelona when I lived in Spain. Mila moved with me to San Francisco where I am an assistant professor at UCSF studying Alzheimer’s disease. My schedule is flexible and I can go in person or work from home. If I am dogsitting I prefer to spend as much time with them so I work from home :) Mila is great with dogs but not so much with cats. I have extensive experience with cats. I’ve cared for my fitness cats as well as I have many cat clients. Cats have boundaries which humans have to respect. There’s no cat too difficult for me as I respect them. I speak both cat and dog (very different languages) 😜 Apart from dog walking and sitting, I am volunteering every week in a senior dog home called Muttville. Here I have gained extensive experience in caring for senior dogs, administering meds, saline injections, vaccinations, seizure response, hand feeding and providing low impact walks. I am also volunteering in the vet suite. My husband and I recently adopted a little tan senior chihuahua from Muttville. Her name is Maia and she gets along with Mila very well. She had a cherry eye when we adopted her as well as a full dental removing all of her teeth so we cared for her post-op. With my own dog as well as through Muttville, I have gained extensive experience in caring for wounded/healing dogs. I’m lucky to get daily cuddles from our local Linda Street favorite, Zoey. A cute 13 year old Yorkie who has the energy of a 2 year old. Please send me a message for us to set up a meet and greet so we can get to know each other! I am excited to meet your pup/kitty! 🐶 🐩 🐕 🐈 🐈‍⬛ 🐱

Love booking Angie for my kitty Tangawizi <3 they have a lot of fun during play time and she makes sure he has a refill on all the food, water & litter box. Totally a rebook, I feel safe and secure that my son is taken care of while I’m away 🥰

Angie was great for watching our cat Roxy while we were away for a few days! She followed all instructions and Roxy seemed happy. I would definitely book again.

ENVIRONMENT: I live in a 2 bedroom apartment (2nd floor) with two senior chihuahuas and a senior cat. I love being outside and going for long walks - so if your pup allows for it, we will probably be outside most of the day. That way when we return home, your dog can nap in peace.

Information Angie D. would like to know about your pet

INFO FROM YOU: Let me know if your dog has any special needs, can walk up stairs, level of stamina, what types of walks do they need (many/few short walks, many/few long walks), and most importantly if they get along with children, people and other dogs or not.

A typical day

TYPICAL DAY WITH ME: I love to keep your dog busy in fun and creative ways. We will go on walks (depending on the needs of your dog - short or long), play fetch, run run run and socialize with other doggies. I love going to the GG park and down ocean beach. Corona heights and Mt. Sutro are my favorite uphill hikes. Dogs love the smells of the forest as do I!

DOG WALKING SCHEDULE: Group dog walks are Mondays, Wednesday’s, Friday’s 30mins per walk (option of 60mins) with a maximum of 6 dogs per walk. I offer three times per day: 10am, 1pm, 3pm. If you require a solo walk please book a drop-in request. Group walks are discounted. I live two blocks from Washington Square park in North Beach and a 30 min walk to Lafayette park. I usually go on long hikes through the city woods Mt Sutro to the GG park and ocean beach. Depending on you and your dogs needs - long hikes are available as a daily walk. Time for the walk starts when the 6th dog is collected. The first dogs get extra free walking time during pick ups so I change up pick up times to equal out the free walk times for all clients.
