Some information I need to know is how aggressive they may be when out in public, whether it be with people or dogs if they do become aggressive, when they play how they can act. I know my Lab is friendly but when it comes to smaller breeds she can be a little rough. Also if the pet doesn’t like to be touched a lot or if they do enjoy pets, where is their scratchy spot and extra info on that. Also if your pet has any allergies I should be concerned about or should stay away from, this including plants, foods, other animals, etc.

I love to take any pets to dog parks around the neighborhood that I am in, I personally take my Lab around North Park and Hillcrest area because of how dog friendly and dog catered it has become, restaurants and shops having dog menus and lots of dog parks near. I also love taking pets to the beach if their parent allows them, I like going to the dog beach in OB, I find it has so much space and it’s a great way for dogs to meet friends and get their energy out especially if they are water breeds. I also enjoy walking on trails around Balboa, Rohr Park in Bonita and other places that parents recommend or may want their pet to go. I’m usually am not comfortable with taking pets in high traffic, high person areas just so that me and the dog can get used to each other and so we can build a good bond in a safe and low stress area.
