I owned a 20 lb terrier mix and a 16 year old, 50 lb American Bully. I have always been passionate about animals, and in addition to dogs, I have had all kinds of rodents, birds and cats. I volunteer weekly as part of the dog team at the Quincy Animal Shelter. I have cared for everything from a 2 lb chihuahua puppy to a 100+ lb mastiff to cats needing regular insulin injections for their diabetes. As you can probably tell, I absolutely love animals, especially dogs, and I'm committed to making your pet feel as loved and as comfortable as possible while you are away. I work for a safari company (more animals!) and I am currently working remotely from home two days a week so I have some flexibility if you are looking for an in-home sitter. Why I love dog sitting I have been an animal lover all my life. I especially love meeting new dogs and figuring out all of their quirks and personality traits, and I also love the opportunity to meet other dog people. My experience administering medication Yes. I have administered insulin shots for cats and dogs in the past, and I have administered oral medication for dogs. I work a 9-5 job M-F but I'm remote on Mondays and Fridays. Tue-Thurs, I am typically out of the house from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m (though this varies based on location). Prior to dogsitting, I always like to discuss your routine and any rules you have to keep your pet as happy and safe as possible.

Angela is truly amazing! She has a genuine love for animals and it shows! On her recent stay (over Christmas) with our two dogs, she gave us regular updates (with photos) and was always quick to respond to our calls/texts. She really went the extra mile to make sure our dogs were well taken care of and active. Angela didn't just walk our dogs every few hours, she actually played with them, brushed them, gave them belly rubs . . . in other words, she gave them a lot of good quality time (frankly, probably more than we give them ourselves). If you're looking for a great dog sitter, then look no further; Angela is the friendliest, most accommodating, and caring dog sitter you can find in all of Boston.
Angela watched our two dogs and one cat while we were away from home for our wedding. She kept me updated with photos throughout the weekend and my mind was kept at ease so I could enjoy my day without any worry about our pets. I typically worry a lot when they’re in someone else’s care but after having them meet Angela and receiving her updates with pictures, I wasn’t worried at all!

It would be great to know how the dog interacts with other dogs, people or other animals so that there aren't any surprises on walks. No breed preferences. I love them all. However, I am a petite 5' so very large or strong dogs (unless they are very good on a leash) might not be the best fit.
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog If I am staying at your place, then I will be there before and directly after work. I might have dinner plans in the evening, but will only be away for a short while. On the weekends, I will probably spend a lot of time with your dog. If I am stopping by and not staying over, then I am happy to spend up to an hour for each visit depending on the location and the number of visits. I really am flexible and want to keep your dog as happy as possible while you are away.
