Angie has taken care of my dog on a longer-term basis and has been excellent! I had to move from our original hometown to Texas for a job, and while I was getting everything set up she was Louie's one-and-only caregiver. He has some separation anxiety, and she was really good about working with his annoying habit of not wanting to go to the bathroom outside when I'm not around. He will not want to just pee all of his pee for some reason and requires extra trips out or longer walks if I'm not there, and she did that for him even though it was Minnesota winter. Louie also had a hard life before coming to my house, so he can sometimes be afraid of very strange things (paper bags, hats, etc) and she was very sweet to him during his scared moments. He's also terrified of thunderstorms, and she knows to keep him close and give him hugs and a melatonin treat when one is on its way. Angie sent me photos and videos all the time of him, as well; which was really great. She even tried Skyping me with him once, but Louie just didn't get it. She also took him to the vet for shots for me, and was great about adjusting his food to help him lose a few extra pounds. She played with him and treated him just like her own dog and really saved me a ton of stress and worry! Currently, Angie is currently my room mate here, and watches Louie while I'm at work. She takes him to our complex's dog park for exercise and on a couple outside trips while I'm gone, and it's a big relief to know that Louie is getting taken care of during the day.
