I have owned horses, birds (cockatiel, conures, Amazon, African grey, cockatoo), dogs (from small to large), and cats for over 20 years. I have taken care of their daily upkeep and any medical problems that have arisen. I worked at a local business that had a boarding kennel (with small rooms, rather than cages), grooming area, day care room, and bakery. I worked as a kennel tech, feeding, walking and giving medications to pets. I also assisted with some behavior issues with our trainer. I currently have a German Shepherd, two border collies, an Amazon, and an African grey at my home, as well as a few cats and 3 horses (cats and horses are at my parents' property). I almost always have a foster dog from the German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois rescues I volunteer for - so my house is usually full! Because of this, I mostly care for your animals in their own home, but very infrequently I can take an animal into my home - sometimes it is possible, depending on the circumstances. Boarding birds usually won't be a problem as I have a bird room in my home. It is good for your pets to stay in your home as that is where they are comfortable, so no added stress is put on them by going to a new place - unless of course if your pet has severe separation anxiety. Again, depending on your situation, we can talk and see what we can work out. Please know that I work during the week, so my visits to your animals are before I leave for work in the morning, and then again as soon as I am off at about 515-530. Then I can do one or two additional visits that evening/night. Though "overnights" are checked in the system, I cannot physically sleep over at your home, but I do visits around 10pm and then early the next morning to ensure pets have adequate potty breaks. My experience administering medication I am experienced with giving oral medications and topicals. I currently have a diabetic cat client that I test his blood sugar and give insulin to while petsitting him. Normal rates for 3 drop in visits a day is $30- This may adjust depending on how many animals, the amount of time the care takes, etc. For example, me coming over to let out 2 dogs, 3 times a day is $30- I can include cats sometimes, but if you have 6 cats that need litter boxes cleaned twice a day, and also fish, and an iguana, and pet pig, rates will vary ;) Please just let me know about all your animals and the care you need, and we can adjust custom rates depending on your needs.
