Pet care experience
After 12 years in animal welfare I have accumulated a ton of experience with animals large and small. My Bachelor's degree is in Pre-Veterinary medicine and I am currently working as a full-time animal behaviorist Tuesday-Saturday 8am-530pm so I can no longer take clients during those time frames. Previously I have been an animal shelter Director, but missed the hands on work with animals. For safety reasons I am no longer staying in client homes overnight. You may specify what time their last potty break is for the night, and what time they typically go out in the morning. Your pets will receive all the attention they need, in the home they love and are comfortable in while you're away. As an animal behaviorist and previous Animal Shelter Director I am very familiar with pet enrichment with toys, puzzles, and walks. I have worked with animals over 100 lbs down to anxious and nervous dogs under 5 lbs. I am also well-versed in pet first aid and administering medications. If you want peace of mind and a pet who is happy and healthy while you're away, choose the person who has made animal care their life-long career!

I recently had Angela take care of my two dogs while I was away, my female dog was pregnant and I couldn't be happier with the level of care and attention she provided. She clearly has a deep love and understanding of dogs, and my dogs took to her immediately. I felt completely at ease knowing that they were in her capable hands. Angela was amazing! My dog gets very nervous around other dogs so I get nervous with other people waking her but Angela knew what she was doing and I didn’t worry at all. Super flexible and kind I’d hire her again in a second ?
When we first met Angela during our meet and greet, we knew immediately she work be a great sitter for Akela. Her background, knowledge and love for animals set her head and shoulders above other Rover sitters. During our trip, I realized I didn’t book enough days and with short notice, I asked Angela to extend her time sitting at our home. Without hesitation she agreed. Angela would always send photos and updates while we were gone. Angela stayed at our home and when we retuned it was just like we left it…. Clean, in order and bed striped. As you can tell from this review, I highly recommend Angela :) I was debating to write this for selfish reasons, because she is my best kept secret and she might not be available next time we need her! ?… lol.

Your pet is happiest in its own home, with current schedule. I can keep your pet comfortable where it's most familiar and with the routine you already set. This is the least stressful option for your animal while you are away! For personal safety reasons I am no longer staying overnight in client's homes. I prefer to stay in my own home at least overnight. However, I will adhere to your pets schedule as you request including what time they are last let out for the night, and the time you let them out in the morning. They will spend majority of the time with me throughout the day doing activities they enjoy such as exercising, cuddling, playing games, and more!

I would need to know if your pet has any particular fears, triggers, etc. Such as food guarding, toy guarding, dog to dog aggression. I am comfortable with almost any pet, but the more information the better! If you are currently working on training in certain areas feel free to let me know so I can continue that work while you're away.
A typical day
Have a route your pet enjoys? I'd love to stick with it! I can play fetch to stimulate those toy driven pooches. Cuddling couch potatoes can get their belly rubs in. Prefer treats? We can practice all the tricks to earn them! **If you have a dog reactive dog please make me aware so we can keep our distance from others on walks.**

Availability
Currently working full time Tues-Sat 7am-400pm so I cannot see animals during these time frames. I stay at my own home overnight. Please specify what time you prefer last hour for potty break and when you typically let out in the morning.
