I am a mature, very caring woman who chose to have children with 4 legs instead of the traditional 2 legged variety. I was raised with animals of all sorts and pretty much love all of God's creatures. Seriously I am that crazy lady who has stopped traffic to help a large, slimy, snapping turtle across the road so it doesn't get hit. Yes. I AM that woman! I would do sitting in my own home but for your babies convenience and state of mind I highly recommend you have me into your home. I have 4 pets of my own and feel your babies deserve my undivided attention while their Mommy and Daddy are away. (And no worries - while staying at your home I have a very loving husband that is home to take great care of our babies.) I find that most dogs are a lot more comfortable in their own surroundings if their parents are away. When I take my babies anywhere overnight - one of them refuses to eat until we get home, even though we're with them. I can't imagine how he'd be if I left him at a kennel, or someone else's home without us. I love puppies of ALL breeds as long as they are potty trained. I would prefer not to sit for a Pit Bull if it is over 6 months of age. I would normally want to do a meet and greet with you before your trip to see if I'd make a good companion for your pet(s). I will ask you to put in writing a schedule they follow including an emergency contact person who lives locally such as a neighbor or a friend that the dog is familiar with and likes, and of course your Vets name and number. While staying at your home if your dog(s), or cat(s) sleep with you in the bed at night then they shall sleep with me as well! If you have just kitties I charge differently for them ($25) for one, or five! However, if you have dogs as well I will only charge you $5 per kitty. Love all dogs large and small! Also I am free to do daycare in your home only. The way Rover.com is set up it says Daycare in my home.
