Peace of Mind While You're Away

Pet care experience

I am back to work FT so I can only offer in-house pet-sitting requests on WEEKENDS ONLY for SUMMER 2018. I could also sit on a Friday night but I work until 11:30 pm (M-F) and I wouldn't be able to start until afterwards Friday night and yes, I could sleep over. I do usually get a Furlough which is typically the months of Oct & Nov and sometimes Dec as well. During this time, I may have more availability open... including weekdays. I typically won't know until late Sept. Hello, I am a volunteer Animal Rescuer (mainly TNR/cats due to my limited space) & a PT Dog Walker/ Pet Sitter looking to expand my services to offer personalized in-your-home pet sitting for vacations, weekend getaways and business trips. I have experience with most breeds of dogs, including the "bully" breeds and also cats as well as larger breeds of dogs such as Mastiffs and Rotties. I can supply you with excellent references and proof of a background check for additional security and peace of mind. I'd love to look after your beloved fur baby(ies) and home while you are away so you can enjoy your family vacation, romantic/weekend getaway or concentrate on your trip for work worry free! When I am caring for your pets, your pets will be safe, loved and given my full attention for the time requested. You will receive daily pictures and updates via text or email so you can see how much fun your pet(s) are having and that they are safe. When booking either overnight stays (or if you would prefer I also offer 3-4 walks/checkins (every 6-8 hours verse me staying and sleeping in your home depending on your locale) your pet(s) will be my top priority! I typically will be able to book my daily work, responsibilities and dog walking jobs around a client and their animal's needs. Overnights consist of a 12 hour-period of just one on one time with your pet(s) typically from 8pm - 8am or 9pm - 9am, sometimes earlier, again depending on my schedule that day... plus I include 1 afternoon walk as needed in the afternoon (as long as locale isn't to far away from my other responsibilities) I am happy to bring my own sheets, pillows, food, laptop etc. I will also be glad to take in the mail and water any plants while you are away - included in my rate! As for the walks/check ins verse overnights, your dog is still my top priority and I will work out a schedule with you that best fits the needs of your beloved. The times also includes feedings and of course playtime and interaction! I will never book more than 1 overnight client at a time ensuring your pet(s) are tops on my list! The only time a double booking may happen (and you would be made aware ahead of time before you confirm booking) is if you would be in need of a longer stay (typically over 1 week) and I had previously confirmed a client for a night or two prior. Again, this would be discussed ahead of time and in place of the overnight, I would offer you the 3-4 walks daily which includes, feeding and playtime as well! If you are outside of my immediate booking area please feel free to contact me for availability and pricing. My Current Rates (2017): Regular Full Day / Overnight Rate $45; ($5 Additional Charge Per Night for Out-of-Area Gas Fee will be charged with any location booked outside of Suffolk County and/or more than 25 mins away) Within my locale I provide 1 afternoon walk/check-in as well at no additional cost when booking an overnight. Add an additional $5 per night for additional household pets Day only rate $20 (Non-overnights) $25 Holiday / Holiday Weekend (*Applicable after 1pm on last day of overnight stay. If I am dismissed before 1pm there is no day charge at all when booking an Overnight) Holiday rate $60 (Full Day / Overnights) About Me: I reside in Coram in a Co-op that I own and have a Jeep (very reliable transportation!) I have always had an affinity towards all animals so much so that I got involved as a volunteer in animal rescue and have become a vegetarian; as I feel all living creatures should have rights as well! Currently, my furbabies are cats - all rescued! I had a Cockerspaniel named Star, who was my shining light, and with me 17 plus years. She played a huge part in making me whom I am today and is now my guardian angel and inspires me daily to help animals in need. I dog walk during the afternoon depending on need. I also volunteer my time to help trap, fix & recover and return stray & feral cats.

We've used Angela twice to care for our dog, Gracie, and our three cats. Both times, she took great care of them, ensuring that all their needs were met, both physical and emotional. Angela truly cares about and loves animals and puts her all into her work. She's trustworthy and provides an invaluable service that allows for peace of mind in the knowledge that our precious babies are in good hands while we're away.

angela has been caring for my two pitbulls for over a year now. I also run a dog boarding business out of my home and frequently take dogs who are dog aggressive and have to be secured by crate or bedroom. Because of my work I needed someone who would double check locks, doors, gap in a fence, etc and angela provides this sense of calm for me by keeping everything and everyone in my house secure. She has handled chihuahuas to mastiffs and loves being around my two pitbulls especially. If you are looking for love and attention for your pet and security for your home angela is your girl.

This testimonial is regarding Angela and her love for animals. Angela is an amazing person who goes above and beyond for anyone and especially animals. When i met Angela one of the first things i was drawn to was her love of animals. When she told me she did rescue, i didn't realize how much she did. Her own pets are all rescues. I have a 9 years old cat that is the love of my life. Angela has welcomed him into her home and loved him as her own. She has taken care of him on countless occasions. I highly recommend Angela you won't find a better person to love and care for your pet.

Fun, lots of love and safety tops my list! What I'd like to know about a client's dog: 1) Is your pet(s) current on shots/vetting & if any past medical history or current medical issues. 2) Is your pet(s) on any kind of medications and/or special food/diet? Any known allergies? 3) Is your dog social? Can he/she be around other dogs as in a dog park? 4) Any history of biting or aggression towards people or other animals? 5) Any restrictions on treats, bones or certain types of toys? 6) Is your dog leash trained and or crate trained? If crate trained, does the dog go in willingly? Does your dog need to be crated when left alone in the home? 7) Is your pet fixed? 8) Does your pet use wee-wee pads or require a specific type litter (for cats)? 9) How often does your dog need to go out for potty breaks? 10) How does your dog behave on a walk? Does the dog need space from other dogs and or people? 11) Do you have any special commands or hand signals associated that you use for your dog? Key words? 12) Does your animal suffer any sort of anxiety; thunder, fireworks or have any other similar kind of condition like separation anxiety that I should be made aware of?
