I always had both dogs and cats in my family home as pets, but my greatest experience was working at a Veterinarian office/Kennel for two years. I helped care for every age and breed of dog you can think of. I did everything from cleaning and playing with the animals to administering medicine when needed. I used to get requests to stay over night at a couple clients homes and realized what a great way to make extra money doing something that I truly love and helping people at the same time. Kennels are not in any way horrible places to board your dog if you are going on vacation, but I saw first hand how much better it can be if your dog is able to stay comfortably in their own home. It is way less stressful for the dog and also keeps the clients mind at ease while they are on business or vacation. I currently just went back to work as a dog walker/ drop in visitor. I have two steady clients that I take care of each week. One client is everyday the other is just a few times a week so I am very flexible with the type of care you would like.
