We have a fenced in backyard with a pool, it is currently covered but if we need to set up a blockade of sorts we are happy to do so. Any dogs we’ve watched have never gotten in or on it though and we always keep and extra cautious eye on when they’re outside for the first time being here. If there is any concern we are happy to also let the dog(s) out in the front yard as it is a pretty good size as well. Whatever makes you comfortable we are happy to do it. My dogs name is Obi and he is the doofiest of boys but a little sweetheart. He is going on 9 so starting to get some old man greys and habits but still acts like a puppy when he first sees a human in the driveway. Our roommate lives in our in-law suite and he has a sweet white haired German Shepard that is 9. He is not your typical Shepard, he just wants to be touched at all times. He’s very sweet and the neediest of bois but even when they are in the backyard together he kind of keeps to himself. Again, if there is any concern we can easily keep them separated as they’re usually out at different times anyhow!
