I've had dogs and cats in my life since I was born. If you speak to any of my friends or family they will tell you how in love I am with animals. I've had neighbors ask me to care for their pets while they're on vacation, walk them, and play with them when they need it. I am also a social worker working to find ways to combine my passion for animals with my passion for healing work and social justice. I'm excited to start this journey by providing support to others in my community I love with helping them with their furry loved ones. In addition, I have my own 2 year old rescue dog and live with 3 other rescue animals as well who belong to my roommates. We are all strong believers in rescues and if you have an animal who is a rescue and struggles from any behavioral issues as a result, this does not scare me. My own dog is very reactive and struggles with anxiety, so I am used to dealing with similar issues. With that said, I likely will not bring my dog while walking yours, and I do not need to bring him into your home to interact with your dog, so this isn't something you would have to worry about.

I'm happy to crate your dog if needed, I'm happy to keep them out of certain rooms if needed, if you have multiple animals who need to be separated I will ensure that this rule is followed as well.

A typical day
I believe in trying to keep dogs stimulated during the day, if this is what they need. I love to go on walks in Powderhorn Park, around Lake Nokomis and Lake of the Isles, and I love going to Minnehaha Dog Park. I also have plenty of game idea to play with your dogs. If you have a fenced in yard or a place in your home that is safe and large enough to play in, I love to play fetch, chase and tug, and I always emphasize gentle play.

Availability
I'm currently in-between jobs, taking some time off from some stressful work and trying to find a better fit for me. So I have plenty of time to help you take care of your fur babies. While I am unable to provide my own home for daycare since I have 4 rescue animals in my home (some of whom struggle with fear and reactivity), I am able to stay in your home for pet sitting when needed. It appears that Rover doesn't have an option to set up pet sitting that isn't an overnight. But if you need a sitter simply for an extended time in the evening or during the workday, I am absolutely available for this as well. I can do overnights, extended hours, as well as drop-in visits.
