Pro Dog Trainer & Kennel Manager

Pet care experience

I have been around dogs most of my life. I was a dog trainer and boarding kennel manager at US Tactical K9 for several years where I took care of newborn puppies up to hospice care for elderly dogs. I have extensive experience handling and caring for dogs as small as a 4lb papillon and 120lb working K9s. I am experienced at administering meds and maintaining a calm home environment. I have trained and titled dogs for competitive obedience, rally, herding, agility, and conformation since 2007.

Angela has been caring and raising dogs for much of her adult life. She has helped me countless times with training and caring for my dog. From my experience with her dogs, they have always been very well taken care of and treated with a great deal of compassion and expertise.

Angela has been the best with my 2 bulldogs. She is the only one I trust to come into my home without my dogs going nuts. Highly recommended!!

I have four pets in my home, all males. 9yo indoor cat, "Meeko," he is a neutered male, declawed in the front, and non-reactive to dogs and will sometimes play with them when a dog is curious about him. My first dog is a 9yo retired show papillon, "Juice," he is neutered and spends most of his day snuggled up on a cozy blanket. My 2nd dog is an 8yo Wheaten Terrier, "Cooper," also neutered. He is arguably the happiest dog in the world; he will play with other dogs and has the patience of a saint. If another dog even thinks about challenging him, he walks away and finds something else to do. "Tag " is my youngest dog. He is a 9mo miniature Australian Shepherd, not neutered; he is still growing and learning. Still, he gets along well with other dogs and cats, and he follows verbal commands and corrections reliably. All dogs are crated inside when we are away from home. We live on a corner lot and have a large fenced yard, 6ft privacy fence, and two 5'x10' heavy-duty kennel runs for dogs to use. I am also a trail and ultra runner and comfortable spending lots of time on feet to get dogs the exercise that they need. We live in a small rural community that is very dog and cat friendly. The human family consists of myself, my husband, and our 6yo daughter. My daughter is an animal lover also and has a great understanding of appropriate behavior around animals.

Information Angela A. would like to know about your pet

I would love to know what breed(s) your dog is if known, how big they are, and if they have any anxieties, allergies, sensitivities, or quirks. What's their favorite thing to do with you? I love all kinds of dogs but I am partial to the herding breeds. My first competition dog was a border collie mix, my heart and soul dog was a German Shepherd, and now Aussies are so popular between me, my family, and friends and I just love their personalities! My second favorite "group" would have to be terriers. They keep you on your toes and have some silly antics that I just adore.

A typical day

We live out in the country where there is low traffic and a lot of wide-open spaces. From our front door we have access to miles and miles of dirt roads where the dogs can exercise. We can play fetch in the back yard, I have a plethora of balls, frisbees, and a flirt pole to keep the dogs active outside. Inside I have a snuffle mat and other fun puzzles the dogs can do.

Availability

I am currently available every evening for boarding, I work away from home during the day on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday when I have training clients. On Mondays-Wednesdays I am still able to accommodate potty breaks every 3-4 hours. Thursday-Sunday I am home the majority of the day except to run short errands or go for a run. I would love to have repeat clients so that I can learn the unique nuances of each dog and build a relationship with them.
