I am 36 years old and have been living with dogs and other pets my entire life. As an enthusiastic animal lover, I can't imagine a household without pets. Currently I live in a two-dog household with a twelve year old Chihuahua and a three year old Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix. I also just recently got a kitten, and he is being trained to be friends with the dogs. Currently, he and the big dog are wrestle-buddies. I live in a cigarette-free home. Due to the small size of my own dog, I'd prefer to only board dogs who are friendly with others and have had experience being around tiny animals, but I have no such restrictions regarding in-home visits, walks, and other services. The park that I live in has regulations against pit bulls and bulldogs of any type, including mixes, so I will not be able to provide services for those types of dogs, regardless of size. Both of my pets are spayed/neutered and up to date on all medications. Our household is flea-free. We have an array of kong toys and stuffed animals to play with. Though I am not a professional trainer, both of my dogs have completed obedience school and know a range of tricks. The chihuahua is canine good citizen certified. We're likely to spend the day playing fetch and lounging on the couch together, or engaging in playtime. Outside visits occur in my private side yard, and we usually take potty breaks every 3-4 hours. Dogs will never be left unsupervised or unleashed outside.
