I have owned dogs and cats since I was a child. My aunt, who volunteered at many shelters, taught me how to properly care for them. I currently have two dogs and two cats. Both of my dogs are smaller breeds, Jack Russell mix and a Chihuahua. I love being outdoors, taking them for walks or to the park. I once assisted a woman who had one blind golden retriever who was also diabetic as well as a deaf mix breed. She worked full-time and wanted to make sure her golden got her injections on time. I would go to the house, let both dogs out, feed them, and give Lily her injection. It was an amazing experience, seeing how both dogs managed, despite their handicap.
