Greetings! My name is Anela. Many dog owners know me for being one of the co-founders of Fuzz + Ruffles (formerly "Cactus Paws"). My partner, Traigen, and I are full-time professional dog sitters through Pet Sitters International. We have cared for over 100 pups over the last eight months. We are Dog First Aid, and CPR certified. We have been recognized by a few Valley-wide publications and have tons of outstanding reviews! We believe that your dog is your family, and should be treated as such! Our aim is to ease any stress on both the client and their furry companion. We believe in PAWS! Which stands for professionalism, attention, welcoming, and support. We strive to enhance the quality of life for every dog in our care.

My partner and I believe in preparedness, communication, and safety! Yes, fun time definitely plays into the mix. We like to stick to the owner's routine to the best of our ability. Our daily schedule revolves around the dog that is currently being cared for. We aim to stay on their regular schedule to ensure that they remain comfortable within their norms. We also like to get to know our client and their dog(s) quite thoroughly. This allows us to properly prepare and plan for the upcoming request. The more we know, the better the experience we can instill for your pup. Their happiness is our biggest priority!

Before caring for any new dog(s), we like to start with a consultation call. This allows us to gather information, form a connection, and see if the stars align. From there, the new client will be sent a file to fill out on their dog. It will go over their food intake, activity preferences, medical history, previous care experience, and so forth. We prefer to coordinate meet-and-greets, but we do receive the occasional last-minute request.
A typical day
A typical day tends to vary on the dog(s) that are currently being watched. We have cared for puppies, seniors, dogs with health issues/disabilities, etc. We adjust our plan for the day based on the pup's physical abilities, their personality type, and the environment we are in during that specific time.

Pet care fits specifically well into my daily/weekly routine because I do it full-time. I work remotely through my laptop and phone, so I can be very attentive when a dog is in my care.
