Well just watching a pet being a pet fills me up with happiness, they are so genuine and loyal, they are themselves which is something a lot of people should learn from, They don’t judge you, they love you and fill up this empty space within that you didn’t even know you had and the average pet is actually nicer than the average human so yes they might just be more human than us that is why they deserve nothing less from us than taking care of them as we take care of ourselves as they are our little balls of happiness/positivity..
