With my background as a veterinary technician and former zookeeper, I’m also experienced in giving medications, monitoring behavior, and noticing subtle changes in health or stress. It’s helpful to know a pet’s daily routine, feeding schedule, and any medical needs or medications ahead of time. I also like to know about their temperament (how they do with new people, other animals, or on walks, etc.) so I can make sure they feel safe and comfortable. For reptiles, fish, or other pets, clear instructions on habitat care are important. The more I know in advance, the more smoothly I can keep things consistent and stress-free for them.
A typical day
I like to keep pets active and engaged in ways they enjoy most. Whether that’s going for walks, playing fetch, exploring the yard, or enjoying cuddle and brushing time. For cats and smaller pets, that might mean interactive toys, feather wands, or calm lap time. I also have experience caring for reptiles, fish, and other unique pets, so I make sure their needs (like habitat checks, feedings, or quiet observation) are met just as carefully. Every animal has different ways of having fun and I adjust to each personality and species so they stay happy and enriched.

Hi there! 😸 I’ve been caring for animals in both professional and personal settings for years, and I’m excited to be offering pet sitting again. My background includes working as a veterinary technician, where I gained hands-on experience with animal health, medications, and handling pets with special needs. After that, I spent several years as a zookeeper, caring for everything from giraffes, rhinos, zebras to smaller hoofstock. It gave me a deep appreciation for animal behavior, patience, and safety. At home, I share my life with cats, reptiles, and fish, so I understand the unique care that different species need. I also used to pet sit regularly, and now that I’ve stepped away from full-time zookeeping I have full availability once again. Whether it’s daily walks, overnight stays, or extra attention for senior pets. I bring reliability, calm energy, and a trained eye to every animal in my care.
