I have shared my home with all types of dogs for over fifty years. This has included Labs, Pit Bulls, Beagles, and many many GOKS (God Only Knows). I believe that a dog's comfort level is greatly dependent on the emotions and comfort levels of their human counterparts. There is nothing that gives me greater joy than to be around dogs. I am responsible, patient and firm with dogs when required. I also believe that the two most important aspects to to caring for your dog are to first, listen very carefully to determine what makes your dog happy and secure and second, to simply treat your dog as if they were a member of my own family. I also volunteer at the Capital Area Humane Society. This allows me to interact with dogs of every size, personality and temperament, while supporting the amazing work of CAHS.
