Pet care experience
Husband-Wife dog team extraordinaire Andrew and Diana serving Comox with dog boarding and doggy daycare. We are certified in Canine First Aid and CPR. We have been caring for pets since childhood. We love dogs, we want them to have a fantastic time at our house and most importantly, we want them to be safe and to feel at home. We have cared for the sick, injured and elderly. We do book a few boarding dogs and a couple daycare dogs at a time but we have plenty of barriers in case anyone gets a little too excited (that being said, if your dog is uncomfortable with multiple visitors, we may not be the choice for you.) We cannot accommodate excessive barkers. Barking at the door from time to time is something we expect from all visitors but we have found that excessive barking agitates the whole group and also upsets the neighbors. We have a large fenced yard that is perfect for pups to run around freely. Our dog Willow gets along with all dogs and is even known to get dogs who are usually less social to join in the fun. She has a great sense of boundaries and is good at showing other dogs the ropes. We are very busy this summer and we work on a first come first serve basis. Don't wait until the last minute to book, we fill up pretty quick!
Reviews
Can’t say enough good things about Ripleys month long stay Andrew and Dianne while we were overseas Needless to say it isn’t easy leaving your Furbaby for so long but we had daily updates and could not be happier with the care Ripley got He was in heaven having so many playmates at times and just 1 on 1 cuddles also Thankyou so much for making him one of the family ❤️
My dog is bit anxious but Andrew was very patient with him. Communication was excellent. Definitely recommend.
Andrew & Diana were great. I felt very comfortable leaving our dog with them for the weekend. They sent pictures and status updates of how he was doing. Will definitely be coming back.
Andrew and Diana were great from the meet and greet to pick up. I ran into airline issues and my trip was delayed and they were very accommodating and happy to help me out. They have such a sweet dog named Willow who my Freyja absolutely adored! The updates while I was gone was such a nice gesture and let me know she was in good hands. She seemed to have such a good time that she was barely even excited to see me and wasn’t in a big rush to leave. Highly recommend and will certainly be back when in need of more care for Freyja. Can’t thank them enough!

Sometimes, we separate the dogs for nap time between three areas of the house with baby gates. We do not recommend our situation if your dog is not a fan of being separated when needed. We provide a calm and relaxing environment including mediation music played throughout the day and a dog-safe clary sage and lavender essentials oils infuser to help nervous dogs relax. To keep this atmosphere, we must be vigilant in how we bring the dogs in and out. We ask that anyone coming for a meet and greet or drops offs/pick ups meet us at the side yard gate and text us 5 minutes beforehand so we can be ready and then upon arrival. We don't want anyone coming into the backyard without us. If you need, feel free to call our rover number and we will be right with you! We hope customers will appreciate that our space may not be suitable for every dog. We are not a dog facility, this is our home and we need it to be treated as such. All dogs must be up to date on their vaccinations. Due to the fact that we take multiple visitors at once, we cannot make any exceptions. To keep our home a safe place, all visitors must provide a record.

Information Andrew & Diana E. would like to know about your pet
Does the dog have any allergies? Separation anxiety? What comforts them? When do they eat/take medication? How are they off leash? Can we take them to a dog park or a hike? Does the dog enjoy certain toys? Treats? If this is your first time booking through Rover, please let us know and we will send you a discount code! Note: Please do not bring bowls or leashes, they tend to go missing or mixed up with each other. We have plenty of clean bowls and leashes to use. We DO NOT accept anyone at the front door. This is incredibly important as too much commotion going on can cause unwanted injuries and/or property damage.
A typical day
We have a large fenced yard big enough to run around in and play in the kiddie pool on hot days. We also have a fantastic park around the corner where we can play ball, For active dogs who like water and are good off leash, we love to go to the beach for some swimming and water frisbee during the weekends.

Availability
Diana works from home and Andy is the main dog care person so we have the freedom to supervise them as they play together throughout the day. We require a meet and greet for every booking and due to some unfortunate experiences, we cannot accept dogs we haven't met. Please note that we do have a personal routine as this is our home and we do not accept pick ups after 8pm. If you book us for the day, you will have to do it before that time or the next day and pay for a boarding. One daycare is $35/day for 8 hours. Anything beyond 8 hours will be charged as $41/day. For un-spayed/un-neutered dogs we do ask for $15 extra per boarding night and $10 extra per daycare.
