Pet care experience
In my family I grew up with purebred Australian Shepherds. My father and I, formally and informally trained each one from only a few weeks old to adulthood. Due to this I have experience in providing medications, grooming, and transportation/accompaniment to veterinarian appointments. Growing up in Nakoma a residential neighborhood of Madison, I was surrounded by pets. I frequently pet sit for my neighbors dogs, cats, fish and rabbits alike. I adore spending time with new animals, providing a safe and loving companionship for them while their owners are away. Choose me and your pet sitter search will be over. Andrew has lived with dogs for much of his life. As a child, his family had an adult Australian Shepherd that Andrew played with and helped care for. After that dog died, his family got a puppy Australian Shepherd that Andrew lived with and cared for until the dog died while he was in college. He helped care for these dogs since he was a child, and as an older teenager he was completely responsible for caring for his dog when his parents were out of town. He has experience with feeding, providing medications, walking, and training dogs. Dogs respond well to his energy and enthusiasm. Andrew will provide great care for any dog. Thank you,
Andrew house-sat for us and watched my pup, Finn, for multiple weekends this summer. He's the most trustworthy guy and will cherish your pet! He took Finn for many walks and kept him active. If we still lived in La Crosse, we'd rebook Andrew right away!

I naturally (much to my dismay) wake up around 630 every morning. This is perfect for taking furry ones out for morning walk/runs and for them to do their business. I frequently go for walks in local parks and hiking trails to get exercise and fresh air. I have a ChuckIt and many tennis balls for pets who like to play fetch (or their version of it). Pets deserve as much attention and love as they want, that being said I completely respect when they need space from people or other animals.

A typical day
I can walk your dog around the neighborhood, on their favorite routes, local hiking trails, riverside park, public dog parks if appropriate per dog. For dogs and cats alike I can play with balls, tug a ropes and other play toys in and outside the house. I can practice formal dog training skills such as no biting, sit, stay, heel, no jumping, lay down and shake. For cats I can entertain them with laser pointers, and agility toys. I can also spend time playing hide and seek, as some cats love it. For cats allowing them to personal time with me getting face rubs and butt scratches is a must.

I recently left my profession as a local case worker for social service non profits. Because of this I have a wide range of availability. I own a car and have no trouble commuting to provide evening walks and or companionship.
