Pet care experience
I've grown up my whole life caring for the dogs in my family. At 7 I took it upon myself to rescue my current dog, Loba, and since then it's been many years full of joy. I even had the opportunity to work at the Shedd Aquarium for two years where I interacted with all sorts of animals, not just fish. Before coming to UW for nursing school I would walk her 3 times a day, regularly bathe her, and make sure she was up to date with vaccinations- all independently. When I could I would also look after my family's pets when they needed a sitter back home. I would love to continue this passion to connect with animals and provide high-quality service.

Andres was incredible with our dog. We had not left her alone with a dog walker before and we couldn’t have been happier. The pictures of our dog also show us how happy she was.

I quickly learned that my own dog's safety was my number one priority. This required me to learn how to be aware of my own surroundings and my dog's as well. I keep an eye out for small items that they can choke on, make sure they have food and water (especially during summer weather), and consistently take them outside to use the restroom. When at home I love to play with my dog and show them affection. I believe it is also important to try to understand the dog's mood and respect their time to rest as well.

Please let me know any preferences you might have for your dog when we go for walks, treats they eat, or routines they might have. I would also appreciate any health accommodations your dog might have so I can make sure to ensure a safe visit.
A typical day
I love to take a few minutes to get to know your dog first before we go for a nice walk around the neighborhood. I would definitely consider a walk by the nearest park or lake. We would also play some games at home where we can cool down during this summer heat. I promise I will do my very best to match your dog's energy!

I'm currently on summer break and have a month and a half period where I would love to get paired with your loved ones. I'm pretty flexible but feel free to check my calendar for the dates that I will be out of town.
