The ideal client for us is a dog that is part of the family at home - so s/he is able to be part of our family in your absence. They are well-socialized with young children, as well as with other dogs, and are not startled by noises and activity. With 4 children and keeping dogs, “quiet” is not an adjective I would use to describe our home most of the time! However, weekdays when the children are all in school do tend to be quieter than evenings or weekends. We want to know as much as possible to ensure we are a great match for your dog’s needs and to best care for your pup the way they are used to at home. I ask that you complete a full questionnaire ahead of time and encourage you to ask questions you may have. Meet and greets may be pre-scheduled upon request, with at least one week's notice.

We make frequent walks around our neighborhood and the several adjacent neighborhoods, including walking around the Wellesley lake. If your dog is a good car rider, we can bring them with us on a nature walk (Tuckahoe Creek Park, Pony Pasture, Texas Beach, Cold Harbor, are some of our favorites) or over to the Short Pump Dog Park which is just down the street. In the spring and fall, we are at the softball and soccer fields regularly, so if your pup enjoys socializing, we would love to take them along. When at home, we spend a lot of time outdoors, and in the summer the kids especially love cooling off with the sprinkler or baby pool. We love to play sports so if your dog likes a game of fetch or chase around a fenced yard, they’ll be in heaven!
