Hi! I'm Andrea, and I'm a former college basketball player who has trained up many a running buddy! I've also fostered special needs dogs, and have experience with breeds from spicy chihuahuas to boisterous Great Danes. When I'm not hanging with my own canines (Omar and Avon, named after my favorite show, The Wire), I'm working with horses and building up my consulting business, so I'm very flexible and able to really be there for your fuzzballs. I've got experience with cats as well - so if you need some crossover care for your kitty, I'm your girl! My specialty is complexity - I've got experience watching a few dogs at a time, or an entire ranch full of chickens, horses, dogs and cats. I'm really looking forward to meeting you and your furry crew!

Andrea is incredible with my dog Ruby. She’s very caring and seems to be able to read any dog, or animal really! I’ve personally seen her rescue and nurture many dogs from young pups to elderly hospice cases. She provides whatever the animal needs, from a steady reassuring presence to a fun playmate.
Andrea is great, walks my two dogs when I cannot and they absolutely love her. Best dog walker I know and will use her again!

Always I want to know about health issues - including vet information and medications. I also want to know about reactivity to other dogs (no judgement, just want to be prepared!), and play style. If you have other chores or tasks you need help with (watering plants, bringing in the mail, etc.) while I'm house-sitting, I'll want a detailed list and ideally a walk through of your home before you leave town. On the fun side, I want to know all your dog's favorite treats, toys, games and destinations around town. My #1 goal is for a mentally stimulated and physically relaxed dog for you to come home to!
A typical day
I'm a big fan of the Minneapolis lakes and parks, but can also stick to more familiar routes if your dog is a creature of habit or a little shy about new situations. Got a little who can't handle the cold? We'll shop at Home Depot, or visit some of the dog-friendly shops around town to get some love. I'll be honest, I'm not a very big fan of dog parks as I've seen some injuries happen there - but if you have a regular play crew that your dog loves to spend time with, I'll consider a dog park date, too.
