Pet care experience
I don't have twenty years' experience with dogs. However, I grew up surrounded by guinea pigs and other rodents, so I know what means caring, loving, and having responsibility. I totally fell in love with dogs when my husband and I adopted our dog Ivy two years ago. Most of the time, I am at home and study, so your pup and Ivy will be rarely alone. However, I have classes every day and have to leave home for maximum four hours. I am very patient with shy and anxious dogs. My priority is that your dog will feel safe with us without any fear and stress. If I am not available, my husband will take care of your dog. I accept only one dog at a time so I can pay full attention to your baby.

My little buddy, Henry, had the privilege of staying with Andrea and her family for a night. It was last minute, family medical emergency and she went above and beyond to accommodate my dog in her house. Henry is old, jaded and doesn't make fiends easily and in addition, he is normally my little beige shadow 24/7. Unless my dog knows someone, he suffers from separation anxiety. This happened with Henry and Andrea went way above the call of duty and stayed the night with my little buddy. WOW!! It's nice to see humanity is in full swing with folks in the Rover.com community. I'm having a hard time expressing how much I appreciated everything Andrea did, last minute emergency was made a little easier with the kindness of Andrea. Thank you, thank you, thank you.....
Andrea cares not only your puppy but also you! She sent me daily pictures and notes of how my puppy Bongu was doing during his stay. Her dog Ivy is very gentle and friedly. They became best friends! I loved the pictures and videos they walk together and play together. Bongu received great care and had a great time so that I don’t feel guilty too much about leaving him for a while. It is definitely more than 5 stars.
Andrea was wonderful with Sabrina. Sabrina is a bit skittish so Andrea handle her with patience and calmed Sabrina down when she was nervous. And Little Ivy was a delight! Sabrina and Ivy got along well. I liked the pictures Andrea sent me so that I would not worry, I could see Sabrina was having fun. Thanks again Andrea!

A typical day
We live in a townhome with a small yard, thought, our dog prefers walking and exploring new places to sniff. We will go on walks with your pup 4x per day in our neighborhood, to nearby parks, or to Magnuson Park (5 minutes' drive). We can also go to Dogwood Play Park. We are able to take care of dogs under 20lb. Unfortunately, we are not able to host highly energetic dogs because our pup prefers calm doggies. Our dog Ivy Ivy is very shy but friendly. After sufficient sniffing, he gets along with all small dogs. He is very playful but also loves to relax on our couch.
