I have 7 years experience working as a positive-reinforcement trainer and at boarding and daycare facilities. I'm currently finishing up my CPDT certification and love nothing more than sitting down with a good animal behavior book. My partner and I have been running Beach City Dog Prep for over 2 years. We spend the day managing play groups, reinforcing good manners with toys and treats, going on adventures with dogs in the woods, taking high quality photos, and snuggling your dogs. We also offer complimentary enrichment activities for boarding dogs. Food puzzles, licky mats, and other brain teasers that are adjusted to each dog's ability so everyone can enjoy themselves! Walks scheduled with Beach City Dog Prep aren’t your average midday potty breaks. Andrea picks up your dog, secures them in a comfy crate, and drives them to a quiet wooded area to enjoy some sniffing and running time on the end of a 30’ long leash. This allows your dog to have some much needed time to just be a dog. These are called Decompression walks and start at $35 for a 45 minute hike or you can book a 90 minute hike for $50. All decompression walks are scheduled between 11am- 3pm. These book up quickly and we recommend setting up a standard walk day so you don’t lose your spot! Ask us about packages to save on each walk. Boarding dog activities are based on the individual dog - we offer both play and quiet spaces. We pay close attention to their behavior and play styles and are glad to be able to pass that information on to you.
