I love dogs because they’re so compassionate! They’re always happy to see you when you come home or visit. Most importantly, there’s just nothing better than seeing a dog thrive under your care! I am becoming a pet sitter because this is what I’ve done all my life and it’s the only job I could ever see myself doing! I absolutely loving taking care of pups and keeping them happy keeps me happy as well. I have been around dogs all my life and have tons of experience taking care of them. I currently own a 14 year old Chihuahua who was donated to me at 8 weeks during my cancer treatment in 2005. I also trained him to become a service dog in the aftermath of my treatment as well. I’ve been dog sitting for about 10 years now and have gotten to know lots and lots of different breeds and temperaments. I’ve also successfully trained plenty of dogs, so I’m happy to discuss those kinds of options with you as well! I am a stay at home mom with 13- and 11-year-old children, and my husband is a UC Berkeley student. My schedule is very open, so I have a lot of flexibility when it comes to scheduling. When caring for your pooch, I will follow their normal routine the best I can for feeding and walks. In our down time I will play with them or lounge around and give plenty of pets! We’ll make sure to have plenty of fun together, no matter what! When taking on new clients, I always like to schedule a meet-and-greet. That way, we can make sure that we’re a good fit for one another and discuss some of the most important aspects of the stay. It’s also important for me to show your pup that I’m a welcome presence around them and their owner. However, it’s also great for us to have the chance to talk about how to make you and your pup as happy as possible! I have no breed preferences and am happy to take on any type of pup. Whether it be sitting or walking, I will always provide excellent service. That means taking care of you, your pup, and your house (if I am sitting) to the best of my abilities. I am very big on communication and will always keep you in the loop on what your pup and I have done together, how the day is going. I love sending cute pics of your pup as well so you can see just how much fun they’re having!

A typical day
I know that dogs are creatures of habit, so I’ll make sure to stick to their typical regimen as closely as possible. That means adhering to things like their regular meal times, exercise times, and potty breaks. That way, they can feel safe and comfortable with me! In my free time, I love just hanging out at home with my family, and having a dog around only makes that time better. There is a local dog beach that we all go to sometimes. My dog isn’t too sure about going there sometimes but he is getting used to it! We’d be happy to hit up any of your favorite places around town as well!
