Pet care experience
I have taken care of friends/neighbors' cats, dogs, and homes since I was a kid. I grew up with a sheltie and a golden retriever, and now am a proud mom to a sweet rescued pit bull named Cash. My husband and I love pets of all kinds and have non-professional experience with dog training and administering medicine. Caring for animals is one of my greatest joys- so therapeutic, and they love unconditionally! Thank you for entrusting your babies in my care, I am honored to do this work.

Andrea did such a great job house sitting our chocolate lap Lucy! She was great at communicating and sent us pictures throughout the whole long weekend! We will definitely use Andrea in the future!

What to expect from me: While I am not sitting unknown pets in my own home at this time, I'm happy to come to your home! When I care for your pets, I'll bring in your mail/packages, feed and play with your pets, administer medicines if needed, take your dog on a walk for at least 30-60 minutes, clean out litterbox/scoop poop/do any other pet-related cleaning, make sure everything is secure, and lock up when I leave. If you feel comfortable, I'm happy to take your dog in my car to a dog park or on a trail hike with my dog. The more the merrier is our motto! But again, up to you and your comfort level.

Please let me know ahead of time if your dog has special needs or requires specific accommodations. We have taken care of many of our friends' dogs in our home, and our dog has done great with all of them. I'm always happy to do a meet and greet with our dog ahead of time.
A typical day
I love taking doggos on neighborhood sunrise/sunset walks, dog parks, and dog-friendly patios (depending on the owners' comfort level.) My favorite part about Rover is getting to know the personalities of all these adorable pets, and bringing out their silly/playful sides! You can find me with your pet playing fetch, singing songs, teaching tricks, and cuddling. Looking forward to meeting you and your pet!

Availability
I'm a full time social worker and artist. I work a hybrid schedule. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays I am not available to do pet care during the day, but can do drop-ins in the evenings and overnight sitting. I work from home on Mondays and Fridays and can be flexible on those days to do drop-ins and walks. I'm usually free on the weekends as well.
