I'm a freelance writer/editor who also runs a small business — all from home. Our neighborhood and building are full of friendly dogs of all ages and pet-friendly humans - creating the perfect atmosphere for your pup to feel right at home. I will be with your pet at all times - taking attentive, sensitive, and extra-special care of them as if they were my own, and providing them with tons of cuddles! I have had dogs my entire life, and have lots of experience (and patience!) with rescues, seniors, and dogs and cats with special needs. Special dietary needs are more than welcome! Why I love dog sitting: I have been a dog (all animals) lover my entire life!! I have never not had dogs living with me, and intend for it to remain this way. :) All of my dogs have been rescues of one kind or another, from Humane Society seniors with special needs to wandering-the-street pups with no social experience. I am especially drawn to animals with special needs or in need of emotional rehab but have shared my life and home with dogs of all kinds. About my yard We have a large (approx 800sf) fenced-in backyard! Bamboo fencing borders the yard, behind which is a wall of thin trees with lush flowering overhang, and behind those, a chain-link fence. VERY secure. Dying grass and plain old dirt cover most of the ground currently, but we are in the process of pulling it all up and replacing it with a drought-resistant ground cover. In the meantime, it is perfect for dogs to play, dig, and get DIRTY. There is a doggie bathing area with wood flooring against one wall of the house for after-beach baths or rinses, a small sofa shaded with beach umbrellas and tree overhang for lounging, and LOTS of toys. We also have a shed back there where we work on our surfboards and other various home improvement projects.
