I grew up with dogs in my home and I have always loved them. I was responsible for feeding my American Eskimo from the time I was ten through the rest of his life. If I sat down before feeding him, I didn't eat that meal. When my family brought home Ringo, our Smooth Collie twelve years ago, it was my job to walk and feed him until I moved out. After that, I would walk him every week when visiting my parents and dogsit him any time my parents traveled. I could calm him down and get him to eat when he was missing his mama. He would perk up and bring me toys even when he had to work to stand up. As he got older, I gave him his medicine with meals and watched his gait so as not to walk him farther than his his hips should take him. One time, I was in a house with five dogs and I got them all to sit at once. Their mama asked me to dogsit on school breaks, but I was too busy at the time. I love dogs, but I work way too much to do right by one of my own. My family's dog just passed and I do better with dogs in my life. I really miss walking him. I have always been good to my dogs and I'd like to be good to your fur baby, too.
