I’m not your average dog sitter. If you’re looking for a premium sitter, who goes above and beyond and has extensive knowledge in dog care, I may be a good fit for you. I have over 20 years experience in the dog industry. Years ago, I bred and showed dogs and have a lot of knowledge in animal care, including nutrition and medical care. I have trained tasking service dogs as well as basic obedience. I have one French bulldog named Finn, who is amazing and very well trained by both myself and an amazing dog trainer on island. Finn will leave your dog alone and has a very strong “leave it” command, or he will gladly play with your dog, should they want to. He is pretty chill and listens to me well. I am a very small house sitter, meaning that I only take a few clients at a time. I screen extremely thoroughly and do not accept any aggressive dogs whatsoever, for both my family’s safety and your pet’s safety. I am home full time and only leave the house for an occasional errand or two. I ask that your dog be able to be crate or pen trained to sleep at night and for the occasional errand that I may need to run. My dog is also crate trained. Your dog will not be crated all day, ever. I want them to feel comfortable and at home. I also have ex pens that are 4x4 feet and I can set them up with their bed, water and toys in there for night time if that’s more comfortable for them. I find this the most ideal for your dog’s safety and mine when they’re sleeping, or unsupervised if I’m not home. I never leave dogs unsupervised together if my eyes aren’t on them. Your dog’s comfort and safety are top priority to me. I'm very good at reading dog's body language and have never had any incidents happen on my watch. I am always supervising. I know how important our dogs are to us. My dog is my baby! I have a spacious home, with brand new AC, in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood, with a fully fenced front and backyard. I always supervise when your dog is outside. Nobody is ever left outside without me present. I do ask that your dog be potty trained. I can take them out to the bathroom as many times as needed. I am a tidy person, with a clean home. We are a non smoking household with no children present. ONLY If permitted by you and your dog isn’t allergic, I’d love to add some goodies to your dog’s meals like : -wild sardines for omegas -carrots, green beans and other safe veggies for antioxidants and vitamins -water or broth for hydration -white rice if upset tummy -sweet potato and safe fruits for antioxidants and vitamins I tend to favor giving my dog cucumber, carrots, bananas, celery, lettuce or blueberries as treats as opposed to processed treats. I’m happy to do this with yours if you’d like . Please let me know if your dog has any allergies, or if you’d like your dog to only have their designated food and treats. I’ll always follow your instructions, just as I would want someone to do for my dog. I can take dogs that have permission and are willing, on a nice evening walk, when it’s cooled down outside. I find it helps keep the dogs comfortable and stimulated. My husband joins me and we enjoy the walk. We can also play ball, or run around in the yard. I have a TON of toys and a slight addiction to buying new ones. I have a big toy box filled with them and I make sure to clean and sanitize them often. I also have two spare, clean and relatively new crates that your dog may be able to use while here, if it's not occupied by another dog. Feel free to ask. I sanitize after every single dog. I also provide licky mats for your dog if allowed. I freeze organic pumpkin, organic yogurt, peanut butter and smashed up blueberries and let them lick for stimulation. It keeps them busy and happy! Though I have a ton of dog toys here that your dog may love, please feel free to bring their favorite toys. I’ll make sure they’re sent back home with your dog. I also have a ton of knowledge on brachy breeds. I know that’s a concern for some clients trying to find a sitter who knows about how to care for them. I also have knowledge on many health issues and can keep up with your pet's medications and routine. I never, ever let any other dog's bully, or harass each other. If someone wants their space, I make sure that the other dogs respect that and give it to them. Not every dog wants to play and that's ok. I'm very blessed and have such amazing clients, with well trained dogs, with great personalities. I screen very thoroughly. I do ask for at least one day of doggy daycare before boarding your dog with me. It helps them to know me, my home, my husband and our dog before their first boarding. They feel so much more comfortable when they are boarded after, because they know us. It also helps me to screen properly and keep everyone's dog safe. You can expect lots of updates, pictures and videos of your dog while they’re here with me . I want you to feel comfortable while you’re away. I know how hard it is to trust someone with your dog’s care. I do not have children and my dog is my baby! What I expect from my clients: - Please, when inquiring about a stay for your dog, tell me about your dog. Any aggression? Medical issues? Potty trained? Crate trained? Separation anxiety? Do they sleep through the night? Anything I should know? - After initially communicating , I will ask that we do a meet and greet to make sure that we both feel it’s a good fit. You’ll meet me and my dog and see where your dog will be staying. - After booking, at the time of your boarding, please bring your dog’s food, bowls, treats, leash, collar, bed, crate (unless inquiring about using one of mine) and any comfort item that your dog might have to make their stay as comfortable and “routine” to them as possible. If they use pee pee pads, please bring enough for their stay. What you can expect from me: - I’m home most of the time. I’m a homebody and don’t leave the house much. But I do run a few errands here and there. - knowledgeable on dog care - will provide daily updates for you and be easy to reach. -will keep up with your dog's medications, teeth brushing, routine, etc. - I’ll provide a calm and stress free environment for your dog. No children are present here and I supervise your dog at all times. Their safety and comfort are top priority. - I’ll give your dog lots of love and pets and belly rubs should they desire. - I do not let anyone else’s dog interact with yours on a walk for their safety. If I don’t know the other dog, I don’t allow interactions as a precaution. - If you would like, I’m happy to keep up with your dog’s training or routine as closely as possible while you’re away. I will gladly follow your instructions, to keep your dogs routine as similar as I possibly can. - when feeding your dog, I will always separate yours from any other dogs , for safety and comfort. I never risk any potential fights over food. - There will always be clean, fresh water down. I scrub the bowls with hot soapy water daily. - I will never let other dogs bother your dog. Your dogs comfort means a lot to me.
