Hello dog lovers! Many of us think of our dogs as an integral part of our families; I know I do. So when we go away, go to work, or simply want to enjoy a day at the beach; we want to make sure our family member is taken care of. My name is Andrea and I have been around dogs my entire life, having owned one as a child and now as an adult as well. In addition, I have watched the pets of friends and family many times. My main career is as a teacher, so I know how important it is to pay attention to detail when caring for others. My main focus when caring for a dog is making sure they feel safe in their environment and loved. They have to be able to trust you and feel comfortable in order to be happy in their temporary situation with a sitter. My home is perfect for over night boarding because it has an open downstairs floor plan where it is easy to keep an eye on your pet and provides a great space to play in. Upstairs is comforting with full carpeting and several rooms to take a nap after a long day of exercising walks and play. At present I own a dog (2 years old) who is completely deaf and I have had to learn how to communicate with him through signals and rely on his other senses. I welcome dogs of all ages into my care whether it is an overnight stay, a day of play, or a quick stop in to make sure they have a moment of relief. There is a dog park near by in the village of Avalon Park where I live and our neighborhood is great for walks or runs with your pet. I am a runner, so if your pet prefers a more active walk we could do that as well. During the summer, from now (June 24th) until July 29th, I have full availability each day including weekends. The month of August will bring me back to the world of education so my time will be limited to nights and weekends. I cannot wait to work with you and your pets! Hope to see you soon!
